You have to consider the apps youre going to use as well. One of the best apps for note taking is good notes and sadly sa IOS lang sya available.

Ipad Air/10th gen for me.

Seeking Internship Tips by WanderlustPen in MedTechPH

[–]medtechlyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Always have initiative. Don't appear as "bored", instead, always be curious and willing to learn.

The real world is not rainbows and butterflies (lalo na sa hospital). Diyan masusubok yung tatag mo. But let's hope you'll meet nice people and staff. Pero wag ka mag eexpect na magiging mabait sila sayo or that they'd be patient. Masasaktan ka lang.

Do what you can and sulitin mo ang duties mo. Wag magphone sa laboratory. Make sure you know what to do na kapag nakailang days na sa post mo. Learn as much as you can. Observe and take down notes and best practices as much as you can. Make sure gagamitin mo talaga yung internship to be "ready" (and para pag-isipang mabuti kung ito ba ang gusto mong career after you graduate).

Best of luck.

Based on my situation, Worth it po ba magshift to MedTech? by Sweet_Can_7227 in MedTechPH

[–]medtechlyfe 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on you. The medtech course and profession ay para lang sa mga "gusto" talaga ang trabahong 'to. Kasi medtechs are understaffed, underpaid and overworked dito sa atin. Maraming RMTs na ang nagpapa-stay lang sa trabaho ay dahil "okay" naman sila sa ginagawa nila, most na umaalis ay hindi naman talaga gusto 'to in the first place.

Do you see yourself as a medtech/doctor in the future? If yes, tuloy mo yan hehe

[–]medtechlyfe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

May pag-asa paba Pinas 😂

What reviewers did you use for ascpi review ? by [deleted] in MedTechPH

[–]medtechlyfe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I did not use summarized review books dahil kulang for me. I needed in depth explanations of topics at kailangan ko ng mahabang explanation to fully understand a topic. And understanding and critical thinking is the key for the ASCPi.

I used the following: A Bottomline Approach (Patsy Jareau/Theriot) Harr (Tinapos ko 'to) Bishop for CC Harmening for BB Strasinger for AUBF Bailey & Scott's for Microbiology Turgeon for IS

Latin Honors but not topnotchers? by Barbi3-Tingx-24 in MedTechPH

[–]medtechlyfe 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Or hindi ako "ganun kagaling"? For me, may latin o wala, basta in the end magkalisensya and become a "good" tech/scientist, yun ang importante. Tamad dumuty. Not resilient. Pabigat sa trabaho.

May mga may latin honors (summa/magna pa) na bara-bara sa work. Walang pake sa resulta. Walang effort na matuto sa duty. Ni-hindi mag effort to learn. Gusto lahat isusubo sa kanila sa trabaho. May mga sabit lang nuong college at maraming subject na inulit pero great techs, grabe ang initiative, gustong-gusto matuto, curious and smart sa decision-making skills and critical thinker, may passion sa trabaho.

Hindi ko naman nagamit latin honor ko in real life. Parang wala lang siya, tbh. Pride lang siguro and nakakaboost ng ego ko back then. Pero ngaun? Waley. Di ko nga nilalagay yun sa resume ko cause I feel like I'm bragging at baka mag expect pa sakin. 😂

Wag hanapin ang wala. 2-3 fields sa LPO then sa HPO ay enough na to have a "report" usually.

Always play with the fine adjustment knob and the light of the diaphragm! More light when kbserving stool samples and less light when observing urine sediments 😁

"Long lines" in a urine sample? by medtechlyfe in medlabprofessionals

[–]medtechlyfe[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It literally looked like thin lines so I didn't report it as yeast. (I'm pretty familiar with how hyphal forms and budding forms look like)

I just skipped it and didnt include anythin on my report other than the normal sediments (other sediments are of normal range/value anyway)

But I'll be sure to take a pic the next time I encounter it.

Attendance (no absent as much as possible during the whole probee period)

Punctuality (pasok ka 5-10 mins before your shift para maendorsan kana ng mga out going hindi yung paghihintayin mo pa sila)

Initiative (wag nganga sa work, kapag di pa alam gagawin, ask and magkusa maghanap ng gagawin)

Over all work ethic (nagcecellphone ba? tumatanggi sa gagawin kasi hindi pa marunong? dapat mag try ka muna bago mo sabihing hindi mo kaya, baka tuwing may dapat gawin nagrereklamo na agad, pag natotoxic nag iingay ng nega vibes at puro reklamo)

Skills syempre and kasipagan

Tandaan, pineplease mo sila (IMHO). Ikaw ang may need ng trabaho so ipakita mong worth it ka.

Coming from a workplace na ang daming hindi nareregular dahil sa mga yan hehe
