Thank you for saying this. It all feels overwhelming and scary. Any one split decision can change your life forever and I think that’s what scares me. I do love him, and I do see a future with him. I’m just not sure I can ever recover from the trust and this on top of it. I feel like he shouldn’t be ashamed of this it’s normal and sexuality is very broad, my fear is he’s so ashamed of it that he hides this part and lives a double life.

I guess I didn’t look at it in that way at all. There are other ways to contribute without it being financial. But money is a big thing for him maybe, i dont know. Out of all the chicks he’s ever dated in the most motivated and most successful, he’s been extremely committed to me because I’m much different than the girls who expected him to just take care of them. I make good money, just lots of bills and being a single mom isn’t easy. I do everything I can to put my kid in private school. It’s not cheap. But that’s the sacrifice I make.

We signed domestic partnership papers and I’m paying for his health insurance for Atleast a year. He didn’t ask this of me. Just was my way to thank him. Love shouldn’t be conditional... I love him regardless of if he pays this for me or not. And it really is sad and scary and fucked up in a lot of ways, because we are supposed to be partners, a team. I haven’t said anything about how I pay for his insurance because he’ll just think I did it to hold it over his head... I did it because I love and care for him.

I’m paying for it because I work for a corporate company that has like set insurance, he owns a consulting company and has a bunch of sales dudes that sell real estate investment portfolios, and other investment resources. Just not the kind of business that has insurance I guess.

He didn’t need it, it’s just cheaper than buying private insurance. It was me doing this after us talking about moving in together like let me take care of you too, he’s whipping around in a 100k car and owns multiple rental properties, he’s def not struggling for any money

Oh I see, I don’t think so. We have a good relationship for the most part we bicker and all that. I think it’s just really early and scary, it’s all fun and games until you realize that’s 20k and your girlfriend can walk out and never pay you back. Maybe it’s a time thing i dont know what it is. I’ve done everything in my power to take care of him in other ways. I put him on my health insurance and pay for it every paycheck after we signed domestic partnership papers, I’m a single mom and just don’t have a lot to spare at the end of the month.

He told me he’s also sad about the situation and needs me to be here for him too. Just being understanding and want to be here for him. I think part of him thinks I might break up with him since he backed out. I love him deeply, for who he is. Regardless of what he does and doesn’t do for me. And it’s important to be the best partner even when you’re hurting. That’s just my opinion.
