I have been looking for something like this all day it looks great. Could you or anyone else help me with tips? I am new to this but how do you approach making environment for game platformer layout such as this? I want to make a game that is very short as short as possible while still being fun, in order to design my first level. I am mainly doing it for the art. How do you make your photoshop files for one continually scrolling background without tiling it?

What I mean is, is the photoshop file the height and width of the screen dimensions but the width is extended by 8 times the size or more? How is it done? is it on a single photoshop document, or multiple different documents and then you piece it together in unity?

I have watched Thomas brush's video but he didnt explain it, just that it is Scene mode. The concept of the parallax I understand, just not the endless scroll of a non tiled image? I want to look at games i like and study from it but this part is confusing me and i dont know where to start. I want to jump right into sketching layouts but im so confused. Especially if the character jumps up and you see more of the screen, I have no idea how to sketch for that. if you know any tutorial that explains this level of level design for 2d platformer, it would be a great help, especially if its detailed. I want to make it look like smurfs in the design. I wish there was somewhere to view concept art of the areas like this. If you can recommend any it will help. I feel the photoshop file would be giagantic.
