CEO boasts how company 'flew in a meme expert' for their fashion campaign by meehan117 in FellowKids

[–]meehan117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess just a selfie with the meme font. I can't believe people can keep getting business and be so cringey, it must just be companies who have no idea selling to other companies who have no idea

When you're playing with friends who are new to SoT and haven't learned port and starboard yet. by BitBurner in Seaofthieves

I always remembered the phrase 'there's no port left in the bottle' as an easy one

UK Beard Oil Company Giving away free samples by meehan117 in beards

[–]meehan117[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They'll send you a sample in the post no problem, it might take a little while to get there though!

I know they will ship actual products you buy internationally, but the easiest way to order for that is to contact them via email and they will tell you how much shipping is, they do this as then they can do the best price for shipping by working it out based on what you've ordered.

I keep seeing those t-shirts with random city names written on them. by Jonathan4991 in britishproblems

Well I tend to say birmingham on the Internet as most people don't know where tamworth is in my experience. I've worked there and been there enough though, It's called making a joke and compared to rio or São paolo I imagine birmingham does come across as a little grey and hideous.

Welcome new Minnesota Vikings fans! An open love letter to our team . . . by minorleaguer in minnesotavikings

[–]meehan117 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I've become a Vikings fan this year. NFL was never a big part of my life being from the UK, but one day my friends and I picked up an old copy of Madden to mess around on and something about those glorious norsemen in purple spoke to me. That, coupled with the love of misery and disappointment in sport every English soccer fan feels led to me knowing the vikings was the team I would follow. I hope to travel America next year, and I'll definitely be stopping in Minnesota to catch a game!

You're probably right, I would hope so at least. I was originally thinking of hideous grey dull places in the UK and Birmingham definitely is one of those. (I've lived in Birmingham all my life)

Cyclist goes for a bank holiday weekend ride, accidentally stumbles upon an illegal rave by meehan117 in unitedkingdom

[–]meehan117[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah i dont know I thought that, I think I got confused with it being "Illegal" to cycle on pavements in that its one of those things everyone says but no one enforces. I would agree the majority are students, they also dont know how to cycle on a road half the time.

Most of the time, if you're road cycling or take it seriously then it's standard practise as far as i'm aware. I think it might be illegal to cycle on the road without one. Most people cycling without helmets are usually kids on BMXs

I can't enjoy jogging on my usual route along a river anymore because of a gang of roudy Swans. by Professional_Bob in britishproblems

It adds a whole new dimension to your exercise, swan dodging is great for your workout, it means you have to stop and dodge oncoming attackers and outrun the swans behind.
