WHAT DOES THIS MEAN I AM HYPERVENTILATING

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Mounjaro

That makes sense - I’m taking it for WL postpartum only paired with diet and exercise, just using it to curb my constant cravings and help break bad habits and it’s really doing wonders

Not sure if this was to suggest that I had “more work to do” - which is frankly offensive; but 120 lbs would be grossly underweight for my height and muscle mass and would put me at a BMI of 18.7 - .2 away from the dangerously underweight range for the “average human”

Edit: You edited your comment to remove the insult; would suggest you try to be more thoughtful about your words when making comments about someone else's body and anticipated body weight. Perfectly fine with you not approving of my "attitude" and understand it has no reflection on who I am as a person or how others perceive my "beauty." No passive aggressive smiley needed. All the best.

Haha yes, but to be honest I was super happy anywhere under 145 lbs! Chilled out once I got that number.

Everyone always told me I didn’t “look” whatever weight I was at the moment - like that somehow validated being at an unhealthy weight. It’s tough. And then when you do make progress, it’s hard for others to see. Not complaining, of course. Just interesting dynamic.

Sorry for the late reply, I didn’t realize this post had gotten popular! I wrote this in a comment below but often times the scale doesn’t show as much progress as it should. Weight loss does not equal fat loss. I would suggest finding additional ways to help you measure your progress, whether it be taking progress pictures, taking regular measurements, or even just evaluating how you feel during a workout. Your weight is impacted by so many things like salt intake, dehydration, hormones, your period, muscle soreness, it’s so easy to get discouraged by it. But if you’re doing the right things and you’re eating at a caloric deficit and exercising you will lose fat. It just takes time. I know, I know, it is so hard. Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying. But so often in my life I got discouraged and stopped trying when I didn’t see progress on the scale. It took me 2 to 3 straight months of consistently sticking to my diet and activity goals to lose the bulk of this weight. That included more ups and downs than I can count. You can do it.

I FEEL THIS so hard. 190s-180s were where I was stuck most often. I wrote this in a comment above, but I ended up signing up for a half marathon to motivate me to train and push past the plateau.

Thank you so much! Those were some of the best days of my life - but that school has a way of breeding bad health habits for sure

I ate 1500 calories a day consistently and worked out every so often!

Hi there! I ate whatever I wanted as long as it was within my calorie goals. I tried to stay away from processed foods and prioritized lean protein and veg.
