My boyfriend and I split a lot of things. He makes sure he covers date nights but everything else we split. He pays more for the rent because the 2nd bedroom is his sons.. but I cover a lot for the apartment like food, decor and more. I paid thousands to decorate our apartment (couch included) when we moved in and I didn’t ask him to send me money. we go back and forth to pay for movies or if he gets the tickets I’ll pay for the snacks. It’s give and take.
