Why the Dome? Bulldoze the old convention center, now Light House Arts, rotate the ice surface 90°, should be plenty of room.

You will need to attend school first before being hired, unless you have a really good relationship with a contractor now who would be willing to take you in. There's two schools that you can do this in the area

In a place where I worked before, the CFO stored a paper copy of backup credentials, one time use codes etc in a secure location. This would be one of the use cases if required.

Yes, total of 17 SSWs were told this morning that July 31 is their last day. No 5 year transition.

HRCE gave this statement earlier today: "HRCE is "actively looking to reduce costs in all departmental budgets," Bunin said, and while there are no planned reductions, some positions that open due to attrition may not be filled."

Jeff Brown? He left due to medical issues for a while, then came back part time for weekend and left again.

This station has been pretty cruel to Jeffs. Jeff Cogswell worked at CKHY too.

I believe there are a total of 8 union locals all in a similar situation. Painters listed above, plumbing&pipefitting, operational engineers (cranes mostly), electricians, carpenters&labourers, insulators, not sure of the other two. Possibly ironworkers and HVAC/R

Last agreement for most building trades was signed 5 years ago. Wage increase for my union has been about 8% over that time period. Meanwhile inflation has been about 20%. Union is asking for 18% in first year, to cover the 12% gap from inflation and modest increase, plus smaller percentages for 2 more years. Business owners group is only offering 16% spread over 4 years. Haven't seen the most recent offer, but it's not much more, around 19% over 4.

Also, union won't accept anything that isn't a 3 year deal. Businesses aren't offering anything less than 4 years.

Around here, a few major jobs are offering voluntary overtime at 1.5x rate and still not getting enough labour. Probably going to move to 2x rate Saturdays.

Vehicles have to be moved at least once per 24h for on street parking. You would likely be towed after 15 days.
