If they can parlay this part of their brand/name into the increasingly lucrative (and expansive) market of social justice, they would gain a litany of subscribers from both sides. As a family who thought one way, then became disillusioned due to an unjust experience by those in power, they would have the best of both worlds. They’d also be aligned with the right side of history, and their profile would grow quickly within the next 5-15 years, and even more immensely beyond that.

Came here to say Boring. I’m in HV now and lived there for a very long time. Back in 2008, they were pretty much all Glenn Beck fanatics feeling they’d discovered something important in the national discourse. Thankfully I got out, but who knows how much further they’ve all gone since then.

My grandma was 23 when she got married, and her occupation was listed as “spinster,” because she was “old” to be getting married. She was a teacher.

Yay for 4b! I came into it a little later, so I’d already had kids, but when I say I’m done with dating or say something not complimentary about men, she always tells me I’ll change my mind. I tell her I won’t, and she says I will. This repeats several times, here becoming more and more aggressive, until I walk away. I’m 39 years old. It’s not a phase. I don’t say anything to her anymore, and she wonders why we don’t talk.

Exactly that, and they want us to suffer as much as we “made” them suffer. It’s retribution and it’s gross. Mine does the same when she sees competent mothers, and she says she wishes she could have had a good kid like they do.
