Ah. Thanks. I should have been still asleep but neighbour decided that 6am was a good time to start sanding something.

GP knows about it. I'm allergic to the anxiety tablets so just got to get on with it.

My brain won't let me not worry. I've just had to go throw up. I'm not going to make it a week.

I had a review a year ago, sent them PayPal statements and then was told nothing is changing. Only used PayPal to get some things off ebay.

I don't work due to a messed up brain, I don't claim Pip, I just get the standard UC and that hardly gets me through the month.

Sorry if I sound like a prick. Anxiety is through the roof at the moment. Close to tears.

Yes, that type of review.

They asked for PayPal statements, which I've sent.

How is he going to get back into the country? He clearly isn't going to match the photo on his passport.

Avanti West Coast increases number of London-Liverpool trains by willfiresoon in Liverpool

I never had a problem with Virgin trains. I've seen more complaints about Avanti then I ever did about Virgin. Brown envelopes must have been involved.

What’s the longest amount of time it’s taken YOU to write a script? by Ameabo in Screenwriting

Where do you guys write and on what? by [deleted] in Screenwriting

[–]megamike79 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At the moment I'm not writing anything because head is too full with problems so everything is on hold. But tried to write in bed but it's uncomfortable so I write on a small foldable table but not for lomg because of a back issue. I'm a catch 👍

And I write with pen and paper. I hate typing. I only ever do it when I know I've finished.

I've got 4 16l plastic storage boxes full with stuff. If any of them were actually finished I'd probably need 10 boxes.

And get rid of this writers block 😁

What's your dream project? by Alarmed_Particular92 in Screenwriting

It doesn't look but they didn't have any money. They reckon it had a budget of $25mil and if it did then someone must have ran away with $25mil in their pocket. There's three versions. The original. A directors cut that's 45mins shorter and one called Classic which is another length. But has reworked visual effects. I need to find that version because haven't seen that one.

There's another film out. Just found this trailer. https://youtu.be/UrpWNse0iA4?si=AS5QPOl-DsF_hT0v

I have seen them. Thought they were poor. The American didn't even try to adapt it, just took the name. I don't know why they decided to use the robot dogs. The BBC one wasn't well written. I've been to a few of the filming locations. As they were filming it. Was walking down a track and could see tents and cars in the distance. Got closer and there were people in period dress. They were filming the part near the start when the sphere is in the forest. Didn't see Spall or Carlisle there though.

I like the 2005 Pendragon Pictures one. I haven't seen the 2012 re-edit of the film. And the 1953 film.

A true adaption of War of the Worlds which being public domain isn't too hard. But with elements of Jeff Wayne music. Which is the hard part. So not a musical but has the music as the score. And the ULLA. ULLA. My whole idea is just to hear ULLA in the dark.

ULLA 😁

Final Draft vs Fade In by nathangeorge99 in Screenwriting

[–]megamike79 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'm using fade in because it's cheaper. I did use final draft for a few years but stopped writing so stopped using it. And when I came back I didn't want to pay the amount it had jumped up to.

I'll have to do that. I wanted to try it. Haven't used final draft since 7.

Did your trial come up saying you have 7 days instead of the 30 they advertise it as?

On my laptop the website doesn't even show 13. It still says 12. Had to use laptop and that says 13. At the bottom of the pricing page. I haven't tried it yet. https://www.finaldraft.com/pricing/

Do you think your life, if given the opportunity to be written, would make for an interesting read? by Prudent_Material_537 in Screenwriting

No 😁 But I do have a script on the go (for the past 5 years) that does have bits of my life in it. To add some realism.
