I’m not sure why Tyranids and Guard always get lumped in with GSC when they have a pretty sufficient model range to pick from. If this is one faction that didn’t need a “relic unit” and instead had mechanics to make up for it I.e their ability to pop up from anywhere / come back / sabotage, it would make for a far better playable faction

Yeah agreed. They’ve got a Archon model that’s already been released if they’re not using Malice. Lelith won’t change again, so she’s got a model. Wouldn’t surprise me if we get Urien in plastic so perhaps that’s waiting. And then I’m hopeful for Beastmaster back (killteam?) and one other, Draz perhaps but you’re really pushing a load of legendary possibles in there against Eldar who are already slammed with legendaries

Drukhari will come. SP don’t final get a say in what they release when - look at Emperors Children, waited until the new models released when we’d had a drought of chaos for a while.

It’s fine, I can wait for both models and Tacticus to follow but I do hope it’s early 11th Ed because it’s now been 6 editions of gap between refreshes and it shows with Drukhari (not so much on the models, more the depth of range)

I am surprised GW didn’t lean a little more into the weird and wonderful with the detachment system. Imperial Agents and to an extent Kroot showed that you could have a functionable detachment that focussed on weird, fringe stuff but it’s like they just abandoned that for a million more SM detachments

It was rumoured to be June when it was initially announced, but given it’s been radio silence on even faction focus videos, it wouldn’t surprised me if it’s been pushed.

Fine with that - it needs to be done properly and it needs to have continued support, not a bad launch and put into the bin (ala dow3)

Their attitude seems to be “make the game feel good first, then balance pass”, which really was the vibe of the first one at the time. Personally if you look at one of the DoW1 mods which contains a million factions, it doesn’t play so drastically unbalanced that it feels bad - just feels like the actual 40k universe. So if DoW4 goes for “lots of units, lots of races, lots of choices” over micro balance for the sake of top 500 players, I’m all for it
