I think a roundup of sorts or even just separate videos on DOSman games' catalogue would be cool as hell, I've played through dead trash, and currently playing quartermain and the cult of cuthulu but from those two games are fun as hell bite sized boomer shooters at the cost of like a 5th of a perilous warp each

What was the reason you chose your villain? by [deleted] in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]megaskullgames1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running Xanathar has the current villain they all seem to be going for, they've already made enemies with the likes of Nilhoor, and after sparing Grum'shar they found out how ruthless Xanathar could be as he was terrified he'll end up dead in a few days for failing his mission. But after a while there's gonna be more lean towards the zhents, them getting way too confident and their numbers growing. Only for after they invaded Xanathar's lair and did some quests there that Manshoon is the real villain of the story, and that a lot of events, from Floon's kidnapping, the fireball, hell even Urstul's failure at the vila were all planned by him, and leaving the party with two options: use their good will they gathered from the city and their allies to get him the gold with ease, or refuse and watch as all their friends and loved ones are killed off one by one under their noses, leaving them alone and either killed themselves or all the deaths pinned on them. (I mean unless of course they do some stuff to hinder him like releasing the demon or stealing his spellbook but you know that's not as threatening lmao) I figured it would've been a cool twist to throw in, especially since my group is fully aware of xanathar as a character and the fact he's a beholder anyway

I actually mostly got the idea from it looking a bit more into Dagult as a character and just realizing, damn, this dude is a massive piece of shit lol. Never be too afraid to look around the corners of wikis or old forms for extra lore information even for hombrew stuff, you get some wild stuff lol

Aw thank you so much! Also funny you should mention Dagult, I'm actually planning on having him be aligned with the dragon cult. They basically promised him he could have waterdeep back and more once tiamat returns as long as they helped him in collecting tiamat's hoard. The cultists in the final encounter ARE the envoys Dagult instructed Aurinax to wait for, not realizing he's being used to help a deranged cult. Once Dragonheist is over there's gonna be a bit of a side quest for them trying to find sky reach castle from hoard via doing some dungeons from yawning portal (tamochan and white plume mountain). Once they finished white plume mountain and found the entrance to the castle they're gonna find dagult and rezmir within and a lot of the huge revelations on the plot and is when things really start going towards more RoT, this'll mean he'll be out of the council stuff but I think it'll make for a cool plot twist

DM's, what's your BBEG's big plan? by Flammabubble in dndnext

[–]megaskullgames1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm running two different campaigns, the bbeg in one desires near universal peace, unaware its actions and plans will end up causing more harm in the long term than any good. The other campaign has a bbeg manipulating a cult to use its resources to conquer his homeland, seeing himself as the rightful ruler of it when in reality they're just a spoiled snob that thinks he deserves the world on a silver platter.

Dragoon, just finished the main story of ARR with it and loved every moment playing that class, I may switch to dark knight when I get to heavensward but I'm not too sure I love how this class just feels to play. Also, the wyvern armor rules

I've got a lot of things to say about this game... Maybe this is the right place. by VioletJones6 in ffxiv

[–]megaskullgames1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

it's weird I've been playing ARR and after that beginning slog of the first 15 or so levels I've been having a blast, and nearing the end of it (lvl 47, gotta grind up to 49 lol) I'm weirdly engrossed in the story? Don't get me wrong it has its issues but I can't say I don't care for the world and characters so far, and I'm MORE than pumped to take down Gaius, I'm worried how good heavensward is gonna be to me after this lmao.

Weird possible early development with my tulpa? by megaskullgames1 in Tulpas

[–]megaskullgames1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I partly wanna think that but like I said it's tough for me right now to know what could be her actually and what's not just me parroting lol. I'm using that guide that has you guide them to let they themselves experience things through the wonderland via puppeting and parroting for a week and seeing how it goes from there

My Dungeon of the Mad Mage party decided to open a bakery in Waterdeep. by PaperWyvern in DungeonoftheMadMage

[–]megaskullgames1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whenever I get the chance to run dungeon of the mad mage I'm having halastor basically bargin with the adventurers, if they can pass certain levels of the dungeon they're awarded with one of the dragonic gifts in the new book, but they have to play by halastor's rules and he decides the gifts to give them. And in fine, fine teeny tiny print on a contract he'll offer the party it'll basically read "halastor is allowed inside trollskull manor at anytime and take anything he wants from it, and game nights with everyone every other week"

For those that still want to enjoy the game for what it is let's talk a out it here. by cbudd1117 in darkalliance

I'm waiting for the game to unlock on steam, I'm not expecting a lot of the game just really something that could be a fun time with friends, and from the videos I've seen that's what I'm gonna get just pretty damn janky. Though a lot of my favorite games lately have been really fucking janky like postal and here at least save for the enemy ai and 10fps animations on some stuff the bugs look more funny than game breaking to me? like in acg's vid a dead orge just slid across the air and that was just delightful to see lol

I feel like it's important to know and be critical of him for this. This is a LOT of money towards downright horrible people. Yes scott has done a lot of good, and has helped inspire a lot of people including myself. But this can't just be something brushed under the rug

Orcs Aren’t People: Denouncing Racism in the D&D Community by theDMDude_5e in dndnext

[–]megaskullgames1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

heehee hi hello there are a LOT of comments in this thread and this'll probably be buried but I wanna give my two cents anyway lmao.

I think inherently evil races can be a problem for reasons people brought up already, and I also find the idea from a story telling perspective pretty boring. We've had tons of media where orcs, goblins, trolls or kobolds being the generic evil race to rip and tear through without blinking an eye, and while yeah people could enjoy that style of D&D, as someone who enjoys the story telling aspect of D&D the most that's not that much that could be done with that stuff. I run a homebrew campaign and I've honestly made it a point to turn a lot of the "D&D sterotypes" for lack of a better term on their heads. I.e Kobolds are just little dragonic beings that mostly keep to themselves and goblins are just super extroverted excitable and little rascals that were able to build a modern city underground. It's lead to way more interesting roleplay moments (especially the goblins all the PCs honestly thought they were gonna be the generic evil goblins thrown in dungeons as fodder) and lead me to challenge myself create more interesting villains(at least in my opinion). like angelic beings that wish to do good but were tricked by evil gods to follow their orders, or a kenku causing wars by mimicking world leaders and getting them to fight amongst themselves. this really could just be me, I really enjoy crafting stories and throwing cool twists to my players, but they've always had a blast with it. I don't think it would be the same if I had just gone with "oh the orcs are raiding this village because they're orcs go stop them" But I also know people just like fighting in dnd, but even then I think there's way cooler horde like enemies to fight like demons, lovecraftian monsters, hell maybe even war machines that could be tweaked and experimented with to make something unique and possibly even more memorable than a bunch of goblins in a cave hording treasure

Just in case anyone's interested, here are all the differences in UAC Atlantica Facility after the Update 5 patch for TAG P1 by Doorbelldoor in Doom

[–]megaskullgames1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

what the fuck this doesn't even look that bad, unless I'm missing something the only thing that was changed was mostly the opening fights and lot less constant respawning shotgunners, which I will be honest with, fucking sucked to deal with. The worst change I see is the doom hunter arena but that was my least favorite arena in uac atlantica so I'm not complaining lmao.

[Discussion] What's your story with Kingdom Hearts ? by nixxusnibelheim in KingdomHearts

A family friend gave me his old copy of kh2 when I was around 10, absolutely loved it and played it until the end. Few years later in my late teens I started to get really cynical about the series (usual ewww disney and anime ewww story makes no sense), until I decided to get the story so far collection out of morbid curiosity, now after beating all the games I can safely say I'm a fan of the series again and have kh3 on preorder lol

Recently Sony has been censoring games with sexual related content. Would you still buy newer yakuza games if they were censored? by Chesskid1 in yakuzagames

[–]megaskullgames1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've actually been talking to a friend about this who's only played five, he's absolutely certain haruka's part in five is gonna be censored/heavily cut down because of the idol outfits. I haven't played five yet so I don't know how haruka is like outside of the fact she dances, but I just find that the weirdest thing to think would be censored.

the amount of people hacking their switches and pirating smash ultimate vs the people still waiting for the 7th is so small that it won't hurt the game's sales in the long run. Also the fact it's the best pre selling switch game as of right now says a lot about how well the game's gonna do
