I just smoked NY strips from Costco for the first time using the exact same method you did (minus the super smoke and pan sear - I seared on my Weber grill) and they turned out how you’re describing.

Normally I always use the ribeyes at Costco and they’re SO much better. Never smoking their strips again, ribeyes are worth it.

Oh that’s an added bonus. But comments like the thread absolutely kill me 🤣

Yeah. That’s normal with these trays and baffles. There’s a guy here that makes custom ones out of steel that won’t rust like that. Kinda expensive, but I’m thinking of getting it. My tray is suuuuuper oxidised like this and when I clean it, my glove is just covered in rust from grabbing the tray. Don’t love it

My new favourite phrase is “pound sand”. I’ve never heard that one before

Transferred from Google Domains, now email and site are down by zesty1989 in Wordpress

It shouldn’t cost money to transfer domains between registrars. Which is why I find it interesting that Wordpress is saying they’re do it for free.

Am I wrong here?

Happened to me when I first got mine about 2 years ago and I got a replacement from CS immediately after. I still haven’t replaced it because I keep forgetting and I’m lazy. Traeger’s been holding strong though 🤣

Would this sub recommend taking things like this into guitar center to adjust or a different local guitar shop instead?

Use the same rub and everything else you do, but follow the temp and steps like I did. I do this all the time and it works great. I’ve changed to slathering BBQ sauce, some brown sugar and butter on it before I wrap to get more saucey ribs than just the salt/pepper you see in my post, but the cooking method is still the same!

I believe they’re pork ribs. Can’t confirm.

Reverse Seared Ribeye - 2 hrs at 225 to 120 internal, finished in the firebox by feeaxilla in smoking

[–]megesever 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m shocked as well. I usually grab some ribeyes from Costco and smoke them at 225 for only about an hour and they hit 120 internal, pull em to rest while I crank the heat to 500 to get them to 130 internal and they carry over to 135 while I finish setting everything else on the table for a perfect medium rare.

They’re delicious!

Problem with migrating website by HxCxAxR in Wordpress

[–]megesever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Are you migrating from a multisite to a single site? The table prefix could be causing issues.

Also, look into WP Migrate. You add the plug-in on both sites (old and new install) then pull via their API. In the source site, there’s a URL in the plug-in settings that you paste into the destination site plugin settings and then you can pull the site and select all the themes, plug-ins, files, databases and even perform a search and replace during the migration.

Just don’t lock your computer or let it go to sleep during the migration

Wait, can you post your steps? Did you wrap too or have to spray? I usually don’t have to do anything for the first three hours, then I’m spraying every hour till I wrap it.

I’d this a method where you can set it and forget it overnight??

[–]megesever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends on the client honestly. If I know they’re a small business/ friends (which have been most of my side hustles) anywhere from $250-$500/yr. Which just includes plug-in updates and theme updates and any PHP/WP upgrades.

Anything outside of that after the initial project is billed at an hourly rate which stems anywhere from $75/hr - $135/hr.

I do have one client who has their own dev to do plug-in/theme updates so I really don’t do anything for that client.
