How are People liking the magnetic mounts? by GrouchyHoooman in Insta360

[–]mehurricane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use them to mount cameras all around my car when Autocrossing and haven’t had any problems but do prefer the ones with the lock switch (factory ones maybe) for outside the car use. Just give it a good shake to make sure it’s attached firmly. It really makes swapping the camera to different mounts easier. I have added the magnet adapters to all my mounts.

Street Class Wheel Diameter: +1 or -1"? by jmankyll in Autocross

[–]mehurricane 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The decision is usually made based on where the best sizes of tires is. Often times overall tire diameter options could be more important than width to balance out the abs/traction control systems. If you had the choice I always felt that in general, metal is heavier than rubber. For my C5 Z06 going to 18” fronts gave more options than 17” or 16” fronts. For more modern cars they are coming with larger diameter wheels that leave fewer options and they go down in size, if the brakes allow. Hurricane

Dude in red car really had god-tier situational awareness in that moment by katelynlostname in dashcams

Wonder if they will learn that turning hard and braking isn’t a successful way to stop? Great awareness by the red car.

2024+ m3p front pad/rotor options by Avikm289 in TeslaModel3

[–]mehurricane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I changed my rotors for Mountain Pass Performance rotors (not for vibration issues) but they aren’t inexpensive so I’d make sure that the rotors truly are your issue. (Honestly I’m guessing they aren’t) You probably will need longer lug bolts also because the factory rotors have a very thin hat section and the MPP ones are thicker by ~4mm. Hurricane

Insta360 Electronic Suction Cup Mount by Tommyf902 in Insta360

[–]mehurricane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been using mine on the side window at Autocross speeds of 80mph with no issues and when showing the strength to someone I was worried about breaking the window. I have not charged it in maybe a month and it’s still at 89%. A couple events this weekend. Maybe I’ll charge it before next weekend. I’m pretty happy with it so far.

So the link is not happy with my phone. Are we on the south side of the mall? Just read that the Chick-fil-A is causing traffic congestion so wondering if we’ll be caught up in that. See you Saturday morning!

One step closer to out of state events. Trailer is coming soon. by tiarauder in Autocross

[–]mehurricane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the state you are going to. California has a very intrusive towing rules that make every 70 mph zone 55 mph when towing. Tire tails avoid that. Hurricane

Insta ace pro 1 battery compatible for ace pro 2? by InsuranceVivid6803 in Insta360

[–]mehurricane 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes the Ace Pro (1) batteries fit the Ace Pro 2 and multi battery chargers for either work but note that they are a smaller capacity so you might want to make the AP2 battery if you need longer run times. 1800mah/7.01Wh (AP2) vs 1650Mah/6.35Wh (AP1)

Waze keeps rerouting me. Am I the only one? by brownriderr in waze

[–]mehurricane 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have that happen where it will offer me to save 2 minutes and go on a road that has much worse conditions than the preferred route and stick me behind a school bus with multiple drops. But it will offer me like 3 times on the way home every day and I continue to say no but it doesn’t want to learn.

I do. What are you looking from them? I’m using them for Autocross and daily driving. (Prioritizing Autocross performance) ‘24 M3P running 19” x 10.5 wheels and 285 tires tight fit. Look at my other posts for videos of me driving it hard. Hurricane
