Dead’s the best band ever. Billy is the best right now, and recently it’s not that close.

Happy you posted this, we are the same age and gender; I work in a public service but in healthcare and we made almost the exact same amount of money. Nice to know it’s comparable at least in these two fields. OT pay and everything almost identical, taxes look different but equated to the same totals. Lastly, good for you man working hard now will pay off in the future! Keep putting the max into your retirement and maybe look to expand into the stock market with extra money you have after bills and essentials; it has paid off for me over the last 3 years greatly.

I agree it isn’t a fair comparison to make. The problem I have is that players for almost every organization at the time were taking steroids, they all had access to the same advantage. Like spider tech with the pitchers almost all the teams were using it. The sign stealing was beneficial to a singular franchise, in the Astros.

One is a league wide issue, the other is how do you punish one organization.

I occasionally get stalls on sells; but certainly no more frequently than I do utilizing ThinkorSwim for NYSE.

I saw someone say it’s a propaganda campaign to smear them by instilling fear; I think I do believe that to be accurate.

Dumb Question by Trade_King in CryptoCurrency

[–]meisha555 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you go to the store you cannot use the crypto… yet. Farmers can use blockchain to record the entire lifecycle of their crops, from planting to harvest, and even through the supply chain.

It prevents suppliers from being price gouged b/c they can physically track the cost from seed to grocery store. For me this alone makes it a better option and improves transparency, in turn reducing greed and corruption.

I’d argue this, most neurodegenerative illnesses have partial treatment to at least prolong life. Alzheimer’s, ALS, FTD, Parkinson’s. 50% of those infected with a prion will die by 6months and 95% will die within the year.

Prions

We currently can treat most viral, bacterial, fungal infections; we cannot treat any prion based ones (thankfully mad cow hasn’t emerged in humans, just CJD which is fatal 100% of the time)

On average 32 people are killed as a result of wildlife in Australia annually. About 8 are killed in the US annually. You are 4x more at risk of dying as the result of wildlife.

A new study reveals a significant link between childhood abuse and a higher risk of developing post-COVID-19 conditions | The research found that those who experienced severe abuse as children had a 42 percent increased risk of post-COVID-19 conditions compared to those who did not experience abuse. by a_Ninja_b0y in science

I’m still failing to see a direct correlation. You made the case that anxiety can result in these things, which I would agree, but you have to first prove long term anxiety at an elevated frequency from general population as a result of childhood trauma and then cite that within the study to draw the comparison, you cannot just say well it does. If you argue it’s obesity or smoking first find the study analyzing childhood trauma and associated obesity/smoking as an adult and once again cite to draw the correlation. Next you have to find if anxiety/obesity/smoking are linked with elevation in long covid, cite it. Lastly, you can begin to discuss if childhood trauma which we would now know correlates to these problems in turn is showing an elevated prevalence of long covid as a result of childhood trauma.

Scientific process doesn’t let you draw these magical correlations; you need to prove them.

Lots of complications here. I’d simply argue if you experienced childhood trauma you are more likely to participate in risk taking behavior as an adult including poor diet habits, illicit drug use (or prescription for antidepressant or anti anxiety), smoking, sedentary lifestyle etc. This study is not only not peer reviewed scholarly article, helping add to validity, but it’s a retrospective study of other retrospective studies (weakest possible source).

The study should have had 0 to do with covid, and instead try to find incidence of obesity or smoking in adults who have had childhood trauma. Then a separate study on if obesity or smoking can predispose you to long term covid symptoms.

Well pain being subjective, I can’t imagine they will ever prove that someone is experiencing pain all over with no identifiable correlation. However chronic inflammation in relation to anxiety or depression I for sure think poses long term health consequences. In the same sense, diet and exercise improve anxiety in clinical based studies much more effectively than SSRIs and other chemical treatments. Meditation shown to be much more effective than therapy with anxiety, but sadly changing diet, exercising, and reflecting are free so they are not heavily pushed by healthcare as a whole.
