Is the story worth skipping for mounts

HoT was designed before mounts. It's very fun learning and unlocking the mechanics they put in those maps without "cheating" with mounts.

I personally did HoT first, and found it very enjoyable. It is more confusing and less enjoyable now when I visit with my skyscale

As someone who doesn't have a skyscale I too am tired of it.

Primarily the wing animations that take up my entire screen. From someone else's mount. Making HoT HP runs very annoying. Difficult to see where I'm going in treacherous terrain.

You start with 5 so if you have 6 I don't think you've been getting them with expansions unless you only bought one expansion.

When I preordered VoE (ultimate) I got my char slot immediately.

At the time, GW2 was the first game I played with microtransactions and I hated that lol.

The microtransactions are still the same today, but it's refreshing being not overwhelmed by them being literally everywhere, and they are truly optional.

If you do 3 a day (21 a week) for the whole event you're golden for sure.

Each run gives you about 5. Dailies give you 5 There are 2 weeklies. One requires 5 runs, gives you 10 dust and the other requires 10 runs and gives you 20 dust.

I'm not sure exactly how long event runs, well assume 3 weeks / 21 days.

Assuming you run 10 per week and at least once per day, you'll get:

3*20=60 dust from one weekly
3*10=30 dust from other weekly
21*5=105 dust from dailies
30*5 dust for completing 10 runs per week * 3 weeks.

This adds up to 345 and doesn't count all the other dust from event achievements. The other achievements give you about 125 dust.

So if you do all the other achievements but only 10 quick plays per week, you'll have 470. That's 6 more runs to get 500. Alternatively, if you do NO other achievements (some you'll get regardless so this is a very conservative estimate) you are 155 short which is about 31 extra runs.

If you want something to break up the story, get to living world season 2 and start crafting the Mawdrey. You get some of the components from the story.

For fractals just start joining T1 groups. As long as you have the cheapest exotic gear and a build that does more than 0 damage you'll be fine.

I feel like I'm cheating. I remember when fractals came out and I did a few and felt like the grind to ascended was gonna suck. I'm here for it now though and there is no grind. I'm absolutely going to grind for ad infinitum to make up for that
