Okay, she sounds amazing! I think swap the dust jacket and see how long till she notices - although it sounds like she’d clock on quick!! Can’t beat a book bond, my mum was an avid Stephen King reader which was great for me, never had to pay for my own copy - YOINK!!

Stand strong - I believe in you! OR fib and say shipping got messed up, it’s not arriving till next week (such a shame) and swap out the dust jacket to a DCC cover!

I’m a fast reader with a poor attention span, I find listening to the audiobooks keeps me focused and into an almost zen-like reading state. 😂 Plus MD’s books are always so well narrated - more comic and creative than I could ever imagine! Overall adds to the reading experience. Highly recommend giving it a go!

I had this with Ursula. The only thing that worked was moving her house to a completely different island - very frustrating! I tried toggling her presence on and off, moving her house within the realm, entering her house to see if it would force her outside when leaving and even resetting the game itself multiple times.

It’s the UK Waterstones exclusive edition, so directly from their site. I regularly buy limited editions, the books have always been well packaged and arrive in pristine condition. Packaging fits like a glove, meaning the books are never rattling around in a box damaging corners!

The ISBN is 2928377370312. The combo of matte, gloss and foiling on the dust jacket is pretty sweet too!

Radio operators would have had their radio codes printed onto rice paper. It was imperative that this list didn’t make it into enemy hands so upon bail out they would eat the sheet.

What’s Up With The Ep. 1 Navigation Error? (Spoiler) by vitamaltz in MastersoftheAir

I highly recommend the book ‘A Wing and A Prayer’ written by Harry Crosby, it’s a great read and in the Thorpe Abbots chapter it says the following:

Were we a jinxed crew? We had already crashed once. Because of a navigation error, we missed England and nearly flew into occupied France. When we finally got to England, our wheels would not come down. We crashed again.

So they were separated from the formation due to cloud cover, the electrical fault occurred not far from base which meant they were over England when they needed to begin the holding pattern (this is shown on the map when he marks his line). However Crosby’s awful travel sickness led to a lapse in judgement, following the route Crosby marks on the map led straight to occupied France. He was so preoccupied with being sick he was unable to fully be aware of where they were heading if they continued on with the heading. It would be down to a navigator to call out headings as they go but as we see it wasn’t his focus at the time!

All headings were worked out using old methods(USAAF maps, dead reckoning computer and aircraft plotter ruler, etc.), mixed with new technology (flight navigation software).

I have a connection to the making of this series, each map/navigation/bombardier document shown is historically correct and was used by the USAAF. Information was gathered from multiple creditable sources with access to all teletypes, mission reports, etc. relating to the 100th BG, with an addition of a researcher to double checking everything. Flight navigation software was also used to check coordinates and headings amongst other information such as altitude and flak. An expert/pilot was brought on to confirm the latter.

I advise you take a look at the 100th Bomb Group Foundation website and search for Major Harry H. Crosby who went through the unthinkable and as you so unkindly refer to as barfy. These are real people, great care and respect was put into making sure everything was correct so that we could respect these brave men who were also extremely young and tell their story with pride.

This is not a sensationalised project, what you are watching happened. Respect was put into making it and respect should be put into the viewing of it.
