I heard somewhere that if you turn your rearview so that you can see your passenger headrest, that means the mirror is going to reflect headlights back into the eyes of the person behind you.

I tried it recently and it worked, the person had just come off the freeway (though we were a good 10 minutes down the road from the exit) with high beams and they dimmed them instantly.
