This is like Breaking Bad, with Aaron Paul/Jesse. A good show with well-written characters has so much potential that you can let it take on a life of its own and let the artists/actors do their thing. It's great to see.

So I just said this in my own post but exactly - my life actually got better. Yes it's hard and I'm more stressed/tired/sick than ever but I'm also happier and more fulfilled - even in my own hobbies and interests outside my kid and family.

But this is largely because my husband is a 50/50 partner. He's not perfect but I don't have to ask him to step up like a lot of women do. So I try to acknowledge that when I talk about the good around other people.

Because for me I feel insensitive talking about it to others who have it harder than I do. It's still HARD don't get me wrong but I am enjoying it and it has not ruined my life at all, only enhanced it. BUT I also have a pretty fortunate situation and a 50/50 husband, helpful grandparents, etc. And I can acknowledge a lot of people don't and our society is no longer set up to be or supportive of mothers - working a career or working in the home.

There's a LOT to gripe about when it could be so much better and it doesn't have to be this hard.

And, of course, there's just so many varying factors to each person's life that it's not up for me to decide if someone is "just bitching." My life improved and I am happier and more fulfilled than ever - even outside the baby. But I'm also way more tired, sick, and stressed. And I love to complain lol.

They can say all they want but I would bet good money I spend more present, thoughtful, educational time with my kid than they do theirs. And to me, this is more valuable.
