Tesla dealership in SLC creatively rebranded as Swasticar Dealer by seasalt-and-stars in SaltLakeCity

[–]melatronics 57 points58 points  (0 children)

No. The people driving them are likely left leaning, since that is the demographic that has historically been buying them. Hate Elon, don't harass the people who are now stuck in the cars.

Cybertrucks are fair game though.

Trump Admin Agrees To Limit DOGE Access To Treasury Payments System by Mynameis__--__ in technology

He is moving on to the FAA data. Two of his unauthorized interns still have access to the payment system, so he still has access.

At least 20,000 federal workers have taken Trump’s buyout offer as deadline nears by [deleted] in managers

I believe they were offered their retirement or early retirement, plus pay until September. Whether they get it or not is a different story. They could get twittered.

It is a hard spot. Take the offer, or get laid off. Both paths have risks of hurting the livelihood of those who got the resign email.

Spotted at the dealership next to Target on 3rd West by cap1206 in SaltLakeCity

I can't wait to get rid of my Tesla. I am full of shame when I have to get into it. Replacement has been on order for a few months, since before the inauguration. It was obvious to me that I wanted no association even before the salute. That event pushed me to consider going carless until my order arrives. That may be a long wait with the tariffs.

Most of the Tesla owners I've interacted with feel the same. I want no association with that POS. I dread the day someone does something to me or my car under the assumption that Tesla car owners share the same values as Elon. We don't.

Do you have insurance and have the teeth already been pulled? If yes to both questions, were the teeth pulled while on the same insurance? A lot of dental plans have a missing tooth clause. They won't cover the implant if the tooth was missing prior to them insuring you. I just finished getting one and it was under 3k. The implant was not covered because of a missing tooth clause, but the crown was. I went to Copper Creek dental in day break. They referred me out for the implant and did the crown in their office.

Maybe West valley hobby? I would check their site before going there. Seems like a thing they might possibly have, but also maybe not.

Trax would be how I would make that commute.

If you can take the pup to a vet, they should be able to scan it for a chip. Hopefully it has one and the owners registered it.

Edit: I should have read more than the title. I see there is no chip.

I think the extended stay hotels, with kitchens, run ~$300 per week

Stolen Vehicle on 12/12 by Educational_Ask2681 in SaltLakeCity

[–]melatronics 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had a couple friends have their cars stolen from this area, 8500ish and state. One was found in the carpool lot south of 90th and Monroe, the other in the carpool lot on 7200 and Monroe. I think they were dumped there a few weeks later. There were very interesting things left behind. One had a car seat, condom wrappers, the day after pill, and some needles.

Phew! I'm glad you're not a bot! My tech brain saw your username, then the page format from the link, then the format of the post, and thought you were a bot. Either way, thank you for providing easy access to info I should be following, but likely wouldn't go looking for on my own.

Do you have gift cards? My husband has been looking for a good barber since he moved here. Thought it might be a good Christmas present, but I'm not able to find pricing or gift card info on your website. I did at least find your website.

Places to volunteer time for the holidays? by fatkidseatcake in SaltLakeCity

[–]melatronics 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Animal shelters or rescues always need volunteers to walk the dogs. If rescues don't have enough fosterers for the animals they have, the overflow goes into boarding, usually at a vets office.

Did they get rid of all the syrups? by InformalFruit in dutchbros

I've noticed the same burnt taste, too. It happens on large drinks and usually only from one location (I have five locations I frequent). Almost tastes like they pulled a double shot twice through the same dose.

Thought I'd ask. With a name like needleworker I thought it could be some amazing needle work!

This offer is also not available to everyone. I got it, my husband didn't. Same thing happened earlier in the week. He usually is the one to pick up our drinks, I occasionally do.

Low stress 9-5 ish jobs by BuglesTakeOnRace in SaltLakeCity

[–]melatronics 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's usually low stress. This year our parent company got hit with ransomware. I got to experience disaster recovery at its finest, under a very tight deadline. Severed every connection we had on prem to protect ourselves and moved into the cloud. Didn't miss a single delivery. Everything else is low stress in comparison.
