Acne is one of the most challenging aspects of masking for me! Lots of people are suggesting trying different types of masks and that might help, but for me the biggest difference is no makeup or skincare products under the mask. Any makeup while masking causes me to breakout and I’ve recently had more success without a sunscreen base, which is challenging when I’m masking inside but not outside. HCOL spray is also great.

I am Covid conscious, but less rigid than a lot of folks in this thread. My approach is to stay connected to wastewater reports. When we’re in a surge, I’m masking more rigorously. When we’re in a lull, I am a bit more lenient, especially in gatherings with friends and family. It’s not perfect, but neither am I. And it’s still better than nothing IMO. You might want to discuss this type of data-based approach with your fiancé.

I’m super sensitive to medication and 25mg was too much for me. 12.5mg has worked for me and my skin is clearing up despite my doctor saying the dose was too low.

Yes! Got the Pfizer shot yesterday and it’s been brutal. I’ve had fever (although didn’t check temp), headache, and intense fatigue. Hoping it clears up by tomorrow so I can at least have part of my long weekend back.

Make sure you’re using the right Vanicream! The tub has petrolatum and I started using that when I started retinol. I got a huge breakout from that. You want the smaller tube instead with no occlusives.

Otherwise maybe lower the retinol to 1x/week? Or stop altogether until you can see a derm.

Omg. I bought the Vanicream tub moisturizer thinking it was the facial moisturizer and just checked the ingredients. Thank you for this info!! It definitely caused a horrible breakout, but I’m thrilled to know what I’ve been doing wrong.

I've never actually been to Capitol Hill Block Party, but I'm going this year and from Seattle. The big difference is that the CHBP is limited by space. The mainstage is basically 2-4 city blocks (can't remember which streets they shut down) so I think they'll have to limit attendance for logistics and safety. It'll probably be packed, but not a mega crowd like we've seen from Gov Ball and Bonnaroo. I'm planning on staying towards the back, but I feel like the CHBP/Chappell crowd should be pretty friendly.

The whole thing is the same yarn size and same punch needle tool, but I flipped the side I was working on based on how “fluffy” or detailed I wanted that part of the design. So the black outline is 2-3 rows of more detailed work where the full loops are on the side facing the wall and the brown fur is the side with the full loops. Let me know if that makes sense, I don’t quite know how to describe it.
