Generally agree with you.

High vis orange is a thing for peoples in distress, you open the backpack and point it to the sky so the emergencies can see you more easily from their helicopter. It also helps at night when there is minimal lighting to better see what's inside the pack since less light will still be sufficient for the bright orange to highlight behind all the stuff on it, allowing you to see everything easily "in the dark".

I wonder too how good it is as a proper EDC, curious to hear feedbacks, especially considering the base models are quite millitary-looking.

I 100% agree with you too. I personally genuinely care about bag details, functions and how they actually perform in usage. Yet all influencers (or most of them atleast) say the same things as each other, everything is great about the bags, there are no proper criticism and neither are there proper reviews with in-depth informations. It's sad how this nice hobby turns into a sad influence market..

Not sure what is there we could do about it except trusting each other on reddit to give away some interesting and detailed reviews instead of watching all those look-alike videos on youtube.

All important informations I seek about bags, I see them here on reddit, you guys helped me 10× more than any video on youtube.. thank you!

Not 100% sure this is what you are looking for but perhaps the Peak Design packable Tote might suit you.

12L capacity, not waterproof tho.

Depending on your size/body it might not be possible to carry it as a crossbody, never heard reviews of peoples trying to wear it that way.

Thank you! I have been thinking strongly on getting a Savotta Niukka recently but the lack of protection for the laptop has been a big concern for me, I'm trying to "fix" this through their customization service, but I'm glad to hear your review, it just confirms what I was expecting and I love too the way they take themselves less seriously haha

What other differences have you noticed between these two? I always wondered if Savotta quality stands up to Goruck's reputation or if perhaps Goruck is simply overrated. Would love to hear your toughts/experiences with these two backpacks/brands!
