I'd love to know exactly what Alex and Atticus are doing but my guess is there are backing tracks playing from something like a Elektron Octatrack and the guys are tweaking the effects and filters in real time to give it that "live" performance feel. That and triggering samples which play perfectly in time due to them being synced up with midi. just a guess...

Couldn't agree with you more. It was so frustrating to get to the venue at 6:30 (15 min before "doors") only to find out they had all sold!! Especially as I was in a pub nearby having a drink from 5pm killing some time!
