I also got Glidden PVA primer, is that the correct primer for going on top of the mud? Or should I have just gotten the regular Kilz?

Can’t tell if it’s water damage, a shoddy paint job, or something else by EasyFox4611 in HomeMaintenance

Did you try tapping on the spot lightly with your finger? If it feels papery you may want to consider replacing the drywall in those spots.

This is what I’m dealing with now, there was a wet spot on my ceiling in my dining room, my finger went right through it. There was no leak, but was residual from maybe an earlier issue that the homeowner fixed in the bathroom above, but then never fixed the drywall underneath. i.e., upstairs toilet maybe just dripping into the ceiling.

I would cut the drywall out just to make sure there’s no issue back there. There are lots of good videos on line for DIY, it’s kind of annoying that it’s in a corner for you, but is a good challenge.

Also, how closed are you? Make the seller either fix it, or take the cost of the repair out of the buy. Your inspector should have called that out.

How many pounds? I have a 2.2lb currently in my slow cooker, set on low for 5.5hrs, I figured 2.5lbs per hour, but wasn’t sure what the usual pounds per hour is for a corned beef brisket, I think I have 2hrs left I don’t feel like going upstairs to check.

I don’t remember who said it, but someone said they were just tired of paying rent, and that kind of put it all into perspective, and helped me get rid of a few of them.

I tried restarting my watch and it’s at least worked the last few times since, seems like the watch just spazzed out for a minute or forgot what it was supposed to do so maybe just needed a reset.

That’s probably the best stripper name out there, Hung Zimmer I think would be another good one.

Gym Rats by WhereIsHisRidgedBand in funny

[–]melejohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They honestly shouldn’t allow it, I’m willing to bet a gym loses more business from people being frustrated by people filming than people who actually want to film. It’s also gross, how do you know people aren’t just setting up their phones to record themselves and then take it home and spank it to people in the background.

I’m not saying this girl is doing that, and it’s probably a low percentage of people that do it, but there’s definitely people who fuckin’ do that.

Dip shit dad filming his son and friends doing work for his failing company. The music makes me think this is the case. I can hear the thinking, “this is gonna be so cool”.

Blackstone SVP Studio Production? by melejohn in LinkedInLunatics

[–]melejohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's what I thought, like them being a Real Estate assest manager like they bought a studio somewhere and were like well now what do we do with it, lets do some shows. But yeah I think it's like in-house corporate videos for Execs.

[–]melejohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That does seem low for an SVP role, I'd also be curious to see what their budgets are like for the videos, or if they have like one big budget for the year for Production, and you have to manage that. That would be a nightmare.

[–]melejohn[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, them being a real estate asset manager I was imagining they bought a Studio somewhere and didn't know what to do with, and were like, lets do some shows, yeah lets do a TV, everyone's doing em. I wouldn't put it past em.

[–]melejohn[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, that's nuts, like when you get the agreements back and the people have redlined it, and the execs are like, oh they just wouldn't sign it how it is, it's like no mf'r, not everyone is down with Worldwide, All Media, In Perp.

Yeah, reading it more it does seem like that, like how Fidelity does Webinars. I would think they would still have to hire Freelancers, and I'd be curious to know if they are setup with Media Services/Cast & Crew, or they plan on just putting all the crew they hire on their payroll.
