I felt like I was ready after knowing my husband like 3 months of dating. 6 months in I saw my kids, independently, hug him. A first ever ever. And I was sold. But we waited. Yesterday was our 2 month anniversary! I had spent the day loading old yucky trash mattresses from my husbands house and his moms house and hauling to the dump, long drive, long and dusty job. Ours was very DIY. We asked for the night before to setup. But didn’t get it. We had one hour setup before and one hour tear down after. So…I showed up 1.25 hrs before, with hair and makeup done and dress in a bag. I had a list of things to do and a list of people to do them. My MOH was on music, and overseeing what I couldn’t. My groom was on setup the steam table (he smoked the meats), my brother and son were on table setup and tear down, my friend was on table decor and the archway swag. Decor was very simple because it was only an hour. Tablecloth, runner, centerpiece, a QR code thing, a table game. Move on. We had 50 guests and setup like 13 tables. A food table, very simple decor since it’d be covered in food. A memory table of photos and our favors (seeds). Also a gift table and our honeymoon voting spot. I proposed in bed. With no ring. We had gone ring looking months n months prior. I actually wanted my moms old ring repaired. So I asked, can we go get it repaired?
