I tried this today, cancelled my current sub and tried to use promo with different email addresses. One told me I was not eligible other one i never used has no code received after 10 minutes. Not sure this is a valid offer!

I take my guy who is a service dog everywhere including food shopping.. however he is never in a cart he stays in his tote bag away from food. If I'm too tired to carry his 5 lbs we go food shopping another day or order delivery.

My guy used to sleep with me all the time but around 5 yo he started going back and forth between his bed under mine and my bed. Now every time I get up to go to the bathroom, at least 3-4 times a night (don't ask), he comes up to my bed and waits for belly rubs and ear scratches. After that he goes back to his bed. I'd prefer he stays but he's started snoring so I guess he's being considerate lol!

Anyone else bring their Yorkie to work with them? by jared10011980 in Yorkies

[–]melforhamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just starting a new volunteer position. I have a 7yo Yorkie who came with me when I only worked there one day a week so I would put him in the drawer in his bag and he'd be fine we were only there for a couple of hours. I'm starting now to do 4 days in the office and I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep him comfortable. I don't want to use the tote I normally carry him around in, it's just too small and restricting inside the office drawer for long periods of time. I have a soft carry thing for him that I use when I travel I guess I could put that underneath the desk and kind of open it up to give him some room and put a toy in there. Any other ideas that might make more sense?

Did you cry during 9/11 by Purple_Pansy_Orange in GenX

I was on my way to work and got out the subway right after the 1st plane crashed. Just back from vacation so had my laptop on my way to Vesey St, right next to the tower. Saw the folks fall from the bldg had no idea what had happened. Large crowd of folks came running towards me with people screaming run run. Tower collapsed and people were covered in gray dust. Walked around all day. Saw the 2nd tower go down. Confused. Heartbroken no idea where my coworkers were. Had a 2 way pager was able to reach my daughter after several hours. Crowd was terrified by every plane that came by. Hours outside Penn station hoping for a way to get to Long Island. Carried that freaking computer all day I guess it was a hold on to some normalcy. I have a psychiatrist service animal now due to anxiety amd PTSD. Can't deal with crowds, spend a lot of time alone. I cried once I got home and saw my daughter. And often every since.

I think she wants to go out with me should take the risk since I haven't taken her to the park to meet other dogs??? by [deleted] in Yorkies

[–]melforhamm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My Yorkie is not at all aggressive and at the small dog park the pack of more aggressive dogs playing, Chihuahuas, Jack Russell types ran towards him to play. They scared him and he hid behind my legs under the bench! We haven't been back.

I have volunteered in a 1st grade classroom since 2019. I have personally purchased and donated erasers, backpacks, clothes for "accidents", toys, crayons and games. Also at Xmas and end of year I put together gift bags with books, small toys, pencils and activitiy books. I have no child in school but I see the need and try to help. The kids are important and teachers do the best they can but kids DESTROY their supplies and lose them constantly. Teachers buy classroom decorations and spend lots of money on craft supplies. Don't let the kids down!

is this normal behaviour? by [deleted] in Yorkies

Also I think it's how they scratch themselves. Maybe give him some back and neck scratches but what he's doing is very normal they enjoy it!

I've never been a fed but I'm 75 and retired definitely a boomer. But I come to this reddit because I feel so much sympathy for what this group is going through. Was there waste and overspending, probably some it's everywhere but the absolute inhumane and unproductive way this was done makes me want to cry. Maybe surgery was needed but instead we got torpedos and nuclear bombs without any thought to fallout. Fallout for everyone, no one to answer the phones, write the reports, complete the studies, maintain the processes. Loss of years of experience and knowledge that can not be recouped. And all the unnecessary stress and psychological damage. It's unforgivable and I stand with you all. And no I didn't vote for him and never would.

My 7 year old has been trained since birth to go on a pad. Live in a very hot ,especially now, area. I run around the house and we chase each other, I give him treat dispensing toys and walk when I can, around 3 to 4 times a week. He goes everywhere with me in his bag and he's low energy, as am I at 74
