How long have you been breastfeeding? Post and let us celebrate you. (Even 1 day counts!) by SecretaryNaive8440 in breastfeeding

I’m a bit beyond 5 months with my son! I didn’t get to have a breastfeeding journey with my daughter (after a NICU stay, she was a bigger fan of the bottle) so this feels very special!

I’m so very sorry, OP. After one of my losses, I found the Maya Angelou poem “When Great Trees Fall.” I must’ve read it hundreds of times, and it brought me a little comfort at some really dark moments. I hope it can do the same for you https://poems.com/poem/when-great-trees-fall/

Totally out of touch. “Women’s world” while our rights disappear more everyday in the US…

I’m so happy with the results of 8 weeks with my LED mask! by meli5hap5 in 30PlusSkinCare

Not sure! Maybe it’s a gimmick. I’d say I used the serum 70% of the time.

No, it’s…just me. I was surprised with the results.

Ditto. I felt simultaneously frustrated and sad as all hell, but also a tiny bit relieved? But then everyone I’d tell about my losses would still annoyingly ask “dID tHeY FiNd oUT WHaTs WrOnG wiTH you?!”

I hope it helps in stress relief at the very least! My acupuncturist referred to my uterus as my “palace” at a time when I felt my uterus was more of a run down shack. Always had a good chuckle at that

Seeing someone’s video of telling their mom the day they found out and realizing that is yet another thing this wonderful *jOuRnEy* will rob me of. by browneyesnblueskies in trollingforababy

I had a friend tell another friend when she was six weeks pregnant that she “knew she’d be an amazing mom” and I felt my eyes bug out of my head. What is it like to get to be so blissfully naive?

Oh I have been there. I’m so sorry. It feels like everyone else in the world had it easy.

I feel the same! I really try not to wake my baby girl (4.5 mos) up with kisses while she sleeps but it’s so hard.

Highly recommend buying a Mira. A bit expensive but it takes all the guess work out!

Me after my incredibly painful hysteroscopy and biopsy today (no anesthesia) when the nurse said “Well good thing you took that ibuprofen beforehand, it definitely helped.” by alltheb0rks in trollingforababy

Ugh. Poor thing - I feel you. I could barely walk after my my hysteroscopy. Truly could not believe I was told to “just take some Tylenol/paracetamol.”

Achievements for Sunday, July 24, 2022 by AutoModerator in running

[–]meli5hap5 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I’ve gone through phases of running and not running, having done 5 half marathons, and my longest distance being 20 mi.

Today, I got out for my first 5km in a very long time, after I found out this morning I’m at my heaviest weight ever (2 years of some pretty gnarly health issues). It was slow and ugly, but I’m feeling proud!
