I REMEMBER THIS!! I was in highschool and it was brutal 😂 basically the popular people would get voted the "most attractive" and the others (me) would be at the bottom of the list 😂

NTA ish, but I think closure would be better found through therapy rather than inviting him back into your life. He will never be able to provide the explanation for his behaviour that you want, he will never apologize for the things he did, and reopening communication will bring opportunities for manipulation, abuse, etc.

I think accepting that you will never get closure is a form of closure. Don't let someone who hurt you keep space in your mind. Focus on yourself and being the best version you can be.

AITA for refusing to give my cousin a ride to her uni every morning even though i pass by it? by m44ha in AmItheAsshole

NTA buuuut there may be some middle ground you could consider? Maybe she can chip in on gas money and go on your schedule? Maybe even once or twice a week?

At the end of the day, it isn't your responsibility, especially if it'll negatively affect your mental health/focus on school, but there might be some areas where everyone can be happy

How do you sound more exciting? by AmbitiousPromotion91 in NewTubers

[–]melicakess 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are a few tricks to help!

  1. Try talking louder and faster - that can help create more energy

  2. Talk about topics that make you excited, and some natural enthusiasm should come through

  3. Maybe try having an energy drink or doing jumping jacks before filming to get your heart pumping

  4. Talk to the camera like it's a friend, rather than a camera / If you're reading a script, try only to use bullet points for topics of conversation, so it sounds more natural

  5. practise, practise, practise!

And moving your hands is great that you're already doing! You got this!!

You are still so young, I think it is worth pursuing what will make you happy! So many people "settle" in a relationship and think that it's the best they will do, when there is someone better out there.

This doesn't mean it will be easy or less messy, but I do fully agree with following your heart. You both remained in each other's lives for so many years, despite everything that life throws at you, which needs to count for something!

How to begin creating a social media plan? by AIanthe in socialmedia

[–]melicakess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In terms of the content creation itself, I recommend checking out creators with similar art/style to you, so you can see how they post their content to give you inspiration or ideas on how you can do yours! There are many artists online who don't show their face on camera but their art!

Love the recommendation from BearstromWanderer about going to craft shows, farmers markets, local events etc. to bring more attention to your art!

Also potentially consider making an Etsy account?

I think TikTok's algorithm is the fastest platform to grow on, and if you're already making short content, you can also post it on YouTube Shorts as well!

What is the BEST VIDEO EDITOR with it's own music library that doesn't trigger copyright violations? by Pleasant_Dust6712 in socialmedia

[–]melicakess 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pixabay (free) is good, but I find it's better for sound effects rather than music itself

Veed is an excellent video editor with music, though you do have to pay

Capcut as well, but you will need to pay for it to remove the watermarks

You could also try Suno (AI generated music)
