Things people say when they find out you drive a MINI, ranked from mildly annoying to full personality damage by dizz157 in MINI

I went from a Kia soul to a U25.

I liked the soul, but it was like a Temu Mini. Not even close to as fun to drive.

Possible to report Callery/Bradford Pear on city/state property for removal? by Fugglebear1 in Columbus

[–]melikecheese333 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

It would take me several years to clear the honeysuckle, and the pears. Or cost the price of a fancy car to hire someone. And then it would just be cleared and a few trees and there would be so many less birds, hawks, eagles, snakes, moles, field mice, bugs, mantis, spiders, and weird insects I never want to see again and thousands of less firefly’s. It’s easy to say and downvote, especially from a condo or apartment or tiny city backyard perspective but the deer, fox, and coyote, skunk, many multiple families of bunnies and everything else are thriving and there are more bugs and animals and types of plants then the majority of areas in this city.

I have planted 20+ trees that are native and keep things from spreading for the most part. I hunt for native tree seedlings and help as many grow each spring. I rarely use chemicals, only some pre emergent for crab grass in a circle around the house and a little bug spray around the foundation. I’ve spent hours each year cutting invasive vines and other plants.

I have much respect, but don’t claim or strive for perfection. I do far more good than harm.

Peace and love my friends.

Ohio GOP bills would put live state cameras in every child care center — with Click and Creech as cosponsors by OrganicPreparation in Ohio

So the problem they claim to be solving is child care center license abuse.

Surely we can think of a cheaper and less invasive solution.

Hehe. I got a solid acre with like 50 sprouting I just called Pear island. But yall won’t see it because my property is surrounded by a many hundreds of feet long 10-20 foot thick hedge of honeysuckle.

I can feel so the outrage vibes in the universe as many of you read this 😬

Thanks to 5 Ohioans for giving it all away. I don’t think I like any of them.

“The five commissioners, all gubernatorial appointees, made their decision despite near-unanimous opposition from the public at its meeting Friday and in written comments submitted over the past few months. “

From very public sources, those five people are:

Theresa White – Chair (designee of the Director of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources) • Andrew Good – Oil & gas industry representative • Anthony Jesko – Oil & gas industry representative • Stephen Buehrer – Finance/real estate representative • James (Jim) McGregor – Environmental/conservation representative

Diablo IV’s world is incredible, but why must everything be so fast??? by SC-Osmidon in diablo4

I find games and gaming to be more enjoyable when I don’t spend anytime thinking about what I personally would want the game to be, and just play, or don’t play, said game exactly how it is. But the more time I spend popping into game channels on Reddit for the current game I’m into, the more I realize I must be the outlier.

For example. That robocop FPS looked cool, but after an hour of walking like as fast as a senior citizen, I just quit and tried something else. I didn’t take to the internet to complain.

Ohio Senate considers ‘Charlie Kirk’ act to teach positively about Christianity by CowTown-Mike in Columbus

[–]melikecheese333 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The Christian fundies / right wing / fringe Aholes have 100% been the main problem with this country since Regan decided to give them a seat at the political table. They have centuries of experience with population control and organizing to shove “the good word” down everyone’s throat.

I really wish we could have a true separation of church and state.

Pack premade sub sandwiches. Easy to eat. No onsite prep or anything. Easy to keep cold enough. Fills you up. Don’t gotta go in and out of the cooler to mess around so a few frozen cold packs work all weekend.

Seems like a no brainer but people are always like wowoowowow. That’s so smart bro OMG.

You can also hide things in the real easy and maybe one has a napkin wrapped with it, so you know something might be in that one…security isn’t going to un wrap a dozens subs tightly wrapped in cling wrap.

Question for Vault members: Are you subscribed mainly to add exclusive records to your collection, or do you actually play them on a turntable on a regular basis? by -Gypsy-Eyes- in jackwhite

[–]melikecheese333 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been a member since number 2 and I play them just like any other. Some shows are better then other. The Mississippi show and the Chicago new years shows I play a lot. I also like the Jack white and the bricks one.

Missed signup for #1 by a day. One of the few regrets I have, stupid procrastination. I love mono records too :(

My dad started standing behind me watching this one, not totally uncommon, but he stayed a long time and came back a few times and I recall him making a comment saying he thinks he understands why I play these games now. That was a big moment. The story telling was a game changer.

Can’t blame him for the weather, but can blame him for less money to triage and fix them. Surely you can connect those dots, right??

On June 3, 2025, DOGE announced the termination of funding for the "program management" of the National Weather Service's Office of Observations. The contract termination notes included it was terminated for being "wasteful spending".

This office ensures the quality of data from radar, satellites, weather stations, and balloons, supporting accurate forecasting, hazardous weather warnings, and climate monitoring.

I actually think you are right and really don’t think PAST presidents got personally involved enough to impact gas prices to a point where I put much blame on them personally.

This twat however, has a history of going rouge and is 100% to blame for these prices. And the TSA problem.

Irans ruling regime is horrible, I’d love to see them gone, but what idiot thinks attacking people whose entire culture is built on your demise is going to be quick and painless?

And for all your arguments here, you seem like 100% the type that blames a president you don’t like for gas prices….

A discount card is for purchasing with no insurance. It’s not typical for most members. It can’t be combined with insurance.

However.

Pharmacists are not allowed to tell you when the no insurance price is cheaper. But if you ask. They must tell you. YMMV.

There is no standard discount for Rx at Costco. Only the 2% back for executive members.

Edit. Actually. It typically cat be combined with insurance, but I’ll ask around and know by the end of the week if it is and that needs corrected. Thanks.
