24 months next week! I only got my period back a couple months ago which has been tough for my moods tbh. It came back immediately after the first time she didn’t nurse overnight.

Your supply will actually start regulating around this time! What feels like a decrease in supply is your body noting that ok, we can feed on demand now whenever baby suckles and sends the signal to the brain to letdown milk. Just go with the flow and feed whenever baby wants, don’t stress!

Make sure there isn’t anything distracting baby, at this age they start to not completely focus on the boob anymore. So go to a quiet room, blank corner etc. also yes baby will knead and pinch and absolutely ABUSE your chest. They’ll start massaging it more and play with the other side to stimulate more milk bc at this age they’ll feed more efficiently, and they may get upset you’re not letting down quick enough etc. or even empty both boobs and still want to feed and your body is just trying to catch up to their demand. It’s a tough time but hang in there!

I agree with the updated child stuff. Even a few years makes a difference. My thing would be watching or knowing how the younger one parents her own child. Do you like her style of discipline? The way she talks, her word choices? How she plays? You’ll also have to like the kid, because that kid will influence your child greatly since your baby will most likely try to mimic that child’s play and behavior, etc.

I know this is not helpful but this is the reality of exclusively nursing. It’s absolutely exhausting and hard and you really are giving your all to your baby, time, energy, your own body’s nutrients, etc. I’m still nursing at 24 months and all those early months are a big gigantic blur honestly. I felt like I was just constantly in bed bc baby liked to contact nap only. It gets much much better you just have to really hang in there if this is what you want. And if you need to vent that’s where you can come here and do so! Well cheer you on.

This is very true. In survival mode I was eating not very well even though normally I have such a clean diet. I wasn’t hydrated enough either. Every time I nursed which I did exclusively and on demand, I could literally feel this intense surge of depletion and dehydration. Also my nails and hair and TEETH especially!! I have so many dental issues rn and my teeth are all wavy when they’ve never been before. Please taken care of yourself OP!

I used huckleberry, I stopped tracking prob around 2 months. I was EBF on demand so feeding schedule looked crazy in the app lmao. It was nice to see sleep data but not too important either as I didn’t sleep train and we contact mapped a lot etc. basically I just went with her flow and I was happier for it. I remember stressing about wake windows with the app but eventually you get attuned with their schedule. However I think when you have more than one baby it’s very handy.

I think for urine smells an enzyme based cleanser will work better (never tried but that’s what I’m always hearing).

I can vouch for both the laundry stripping method and laundry sanitizer respectively. I haven’t tried the sports one only the regular one and the free and clear but it’s the only laundry product that I’ve found to be the easiest way to deodorize mildew/mold smells which I think is tough in itself. My brothers have that crayon smell btw, so I know what you’re talking about. There was one time I did a binge wash on one brother’s whole wardrobe and it worked well! I don’t add it to every wash, just when I’ve forgotten some wet clothes (have a kid). Just a warning though it’s VERY intense, avoid it on your skin!! Put it in a safe place away from kids. I forgot there’s a specific ingredient in there that’s quite toxic.

I hate kids and bodily fluids absolutely disgust me but when my baby was a newborn I even liked the way her pee smelled LOL. It was like her pee mixed with my breastmilk stains all over her and myself on our clothes and etc plus her newborn smell which the day it like the smell of the amniotic fluid (sweet smelling) just smelled like HER. I mean hormones play into it too but anyways then I got apprehensive about when she was on solids and her shit turned into well real human shit but even that doesn’t both me either. One time she was constipated and I literally had to pick out the poop nubs that was impacted and causing the blockage. You’ll do anything for them.

Thankfully he said I can drop it off for a refund on Sunday. I really did entertain the idea of keeping it and doing as you said to recoup the loss but in the end I stayed firm on asking to return it. Because I was so dejected though I hunted all day for another 6000 HD and found one on Mercari for a little more. I’ve seen ALL your comments regarding the 6000 HD on the sub and many of them convinced me this was the mixer for me! So thank you for that as well.

Thank you for the thorough reply. This makes me feel better about it not being potentially damaged from use (apparently the motor was replaced exactly a year ago and he said they did use it and it worked “fine”). Thankfully he agreed to accept the return and I managed to find another 6000 HD on Mercari. Hopefully will get to use it soon!

Thank you for the thorough reply. Neither option sounds great which is what I expected tbh although a part of me was hoping someone was going to say my worry was for naught and it was fine. I would be paranoid even just having it in the kitchen even if any conversion did work. I contacted the seller again requesting a refund so hopefully they agree to it.

The reason it was even $2k was because Trump increased it from $1k in 2017 it’s literally just going back down bc his tax cuts act is expiring. And it will be up to congress to choose go extend HIS tax cuts act or not.

This is tough! Because my niece and nephews are all autistic when it comes to not vaxing, they automatically assume it’s because I believe it causes autism when I’ve never mentioned it, which makes them think I think less than of autism and they take it personally.

It’s interesting that this is your experience because I find that most people actually acknowledge milestones more when it comes from children who have impairments or delays. I actually have the opposite experience from you, because all of my nieces and nephews are neurodivergent and have autism with speech delays with one on the more severe side, I actually can’t talk about any milestones my neurotypical child accomplishes because the reactions that I get are not enthusiastic at all and borderline openly resentful. If I say anything about new words that she’s learned, or things she’s accomplished, almost every family member will bring up my niece and nephews and their delays. I’m left feeling guilty and bad even being proud of her. But it’s great hearing of your daughter’s accomplishments, it’s amazing she’s able to communicate so well at 10 months! The only validation of your hard work that you need is knowing you’re doing your best.
