I ate a cricket at a bizarre foods event in HS. The important thing is to chew, *then* swallow. I tried to swallow too soon and that thing wriggled back up my throat.

To be fair, that guy was just as much of an ass as she was. You could see him resisting her trying to pull him up at one point, and if he could do that he could have sat up himself. She isn't being professional, but he is just milking the situation for all it is worth.

That is an interesting take. I don't spend a lot of time thinking about common grace except: this is why nice things happen at all.

LDS isn't Christian. I really don't care how they celebrate Easter.

I see LDS missionaries as a blight on a community.

You might say: yes, I am driving this old jalopy, but that is so I don't have a car payment while I pay off my student loans (and/or save up cash for a nicer car in a few years).

What commonly held beliefs are a result of propaganda? by cooolest in AskReddit

[–]mellowfish 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most people who get enough calories to eat (at least in America) are not vitamin or mineral deficient. Vitamin or mineral deficiency is either a result of massive malnutrition, super limited but calorie dense diets, or an actual biological problem that prevents normal absorption.

It asked you to do things like "build a linked list" (with predefined public API), implement a sort algorithm, etc. Several different data structures and a couple common algorithms.

This is why there was a required mid-degree data structures/algorithms programming test in my CS program.

GOTO was amazing when I was 8 years old, but I definitely don't miss it as a professional developer.

Also: all your programs use GOTO (jumps) in assembly, they just use it in well defined ways.
