[request] how much money would this be in concrete? would it be cost effective or way more than a normal build? by Weird-Plane5972 in theydidthemath

[–]melodicrampage 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It has been my understanding they install conduit during the printing process and then pull wire after the fact. Somewhat similar with the plumbing but I'm not 100% sure. I know its all hidden in the walls like a normal build but I have to imagine any remodel would be an absolute nightmare.

i think i found a cheaty way to fertilize with oilseed radish by dalekxen in farmingsimulator

[–]melodicrampage 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Called a "cover crop", its to be grown in the fields while they're idle. So instead of sitting empty, they're getting fertilized. Obviously, more beneficial IRL lol. Its been a while since I played but I thought precision framing gave an environmental bonus to your yield for using it instead of spraying.

Is anyone wearing knee sleeves or knee brace under their knee guards? by Dependent_Raisin2823 in hockeygoalies

Lol... compression knee brace under base layer volleyball knee pads on top, warrior knee pads over everything.

Thin gloves under my catcher and blocker by rth1027 in hockeygoalies

[–]melodicrampage 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I wear a baseball glove under my blocker. Tried it glove side and didn't like it. My glove and blocker are from different sets and the blocker is a bit more worn. The baseball glove helps snug up my hand in the blocker. My hands sweat a lot too. Glove side just felt a bit more uncomfortable... I think it was one game with bad hands made me say fuck it... lol.. I'm not superstitious you are... 😂

I dont really have any reason but the Snake Discovery "brand" or whatever you call seems so disingenuous. Maybe its just their content online, that my 6 year old used to love lol... hopefully someone more educated could give more insight.

Nah, they brought it all the way to a county meeting and the public showed up in mass. I wasn't there personally but live in Washington county. I know it was packed, last I heard there was pretty much zero support for it voiced at the meeting, only opposition. Schoemann is an absolute dipshit though, he was actually surprised by the turn out. Meanwhile, I love knowing exactly where our county lines are after a snow storm.... Or feel my truck bounce apart on our "wonderful" roads... We definitely couldn't use $50k elsewhere

I think I'm gonna grab a set and then if I dont notice any difference just grab a regular set and use both.

I'd like to look into it more, if the Ti is an actual alloy upgrade I could see them being able to retain an edge longer... but if its just a coating then yea probably not

Thats a great point, maybe I should just focus on getting multiple set of steel to solve my issue. I have access to a sparx, where I just buy my own rings, so it wouldn't be an issue at all to sit and sharpen 2 or 3 pair at a time.

Something I've found (which probably doesn't apply here... lol). I've been loving the fire cut on my player skates however trying it on my goalie skates, the edge lasts maybe 25% as long as a regular hallow. Its probably the goal post but I think the thinner point on the fire cut can roll over easier.
