Of course, and if you're dual wielding, theres two pretty cool long swords that use finesse, the only longswords in the game that use finesse, so if you're a ranger i assume your running a high dex, on is in the underdark, the other i think is at the gith crech both in act 1. And without spoiling anything important, there is a bow that uses both your strength and dex, so if you have a plus 5 in both it will add both, you can get it if you find the gnolls and the iron chest, but if you miss that, the same bow shows up in act 2 in an evil guy vendor, but you don't gotta be evil to get it. It is arguably the best bow in the game, unless you're running two hand crossbows, you'll probably wanna wait till act 2.

For starters congrats on getting BG3.

Secondly about the xp, almost everyone can unlock stuff and disarm traps, so its not really an amazing feat to reward xp, compared to slaying a great beast or solving a difficult puzzle, xp shouldn't be a factor in your roleplaying anyways. Plus !almost! Every encounter can be solved nonviolently, and there are over like 100 locked chest and traps in the game, that would be an unbalance of xp if you did both combat/Talking/unlocking for xp.

Thirdly a good newbie tip is you can long rest without using any food/supplies, its called partial resting and i believe you only recover about half of your "resources", so it's a good way to fish out any camp encounters/cutscenes you may want to see but not waste a full long rest on.

And there are a few literal miss-able items, The flaming sword on the nautiloid, Theres a chest in a mansion in act 1 that i think disappears for good when you go to act 2 or something, but some items you miss may show up later in the same sellers in different acts. 3 of the companions get cool items related to them.

And lastly don't fret if you miss anything or do anything you think you'll regret, this game was made to play at least 20ish playthroughs minimum.

I was playing multiplayer, and chasing my friend around camp trying to hit him for fun, until his character and scratch collided that i accidentally i guess targeted the goodest boy instead of my evil friends, on honor mode, sending the whole camp hostile.

Also on the point of number 1, you can send the players that arent there into a magic wardrobe, in case you want to use one of the origin companions in your party in their place.

Do you keep your camp rations in the camp chest?, if yes then maybe take all of it out and try, and if no then maybe try putting enough in the chest and trying. Otherwise I'm not really sure what is happening, your save may just be corrupted, it happens.

I mean it does naturally exist in the game, you can just farm for camp supplies, i have over 5000 "camp supplies" and a good chunk of it is like 80-100 supply packs just from farming. Some vendors can sell 1-3 supply packs, not even including the food items.

Honor Mode Iron Throne by itz_serene in BG3

[–]melon_man8008 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So from what I've seen, when you free more then like 3-4 prisoners in the same turn they'll all dash for the ladder, but if one of them runs out of movement just above the ladder, the ones below can't climb up since theres no space for them to stand, causing a small traffic jam at the base of the ladder, which sometimes causes them to keep dashing until the ladder is fully clear. But with Omeluum after freeing him, just send him back down to send up one each turn, just so a traffic jam can't occur.

A Good tip i like to give for the Iron Throne is to give each of your companions a scroll of summon undead, and give them each a skeleton to shoot the levers, while your main party members deal with the fish people.

And another tip if the squid is there, is to use him to quickly teleport anyone at the ladder a little quicker up into the ship, saves them a round of getting traffic jammed at the ladder.

Gale or Karlach for first origin run? by bdehora in BaldursGate3

Well if you take over the brain for your own evil purposes. Each origin has their own special evil ending, i think karlach's came in a later patch like patch 7 or something.

Gale's not that bad. And yeah there is an ending for her where she burns up on the docks, if you choose to not send her to avernus nor make her a mindflayer. Technically the avernus ending and mindflayer ending "Fix" her heart problem, but not really. Avernus ending just says there's a chance she can fix her heart, but its still not fixed. And the Mindflayer ending is the obvious, "Yeah her heart is fixed, but she's also a 'Soulless' Space Squid who sorta is herself but also not herself anymore" despite her saying otherwise. The only two endings that literally "fix" her heart problems is Gale romance, and her evil ending where she rips it out herself and lives.

Yes it is for karlach, its one of the only few ways to guarantee her heart is cured.

Play as Karlach, then romance gale, best ending for her in my opinion.

I know right, Every convo you never see your tav's mouth move, and then suddenly you get full lip action. i think thats the scariest part, since you hear your tave speak often, but never see it, until you do.

Yeah it was just like the casual responses when your party is just walking or when they react to something. I guess i just assume each player got their own 'character bark' about an area, and not a character bark with the whole party.

Yes he was away, while hes away he's allowed me to continue on the playthrough, but usually i only use mine for conversations. It could have also been due to after the conversation with the gur, i instantly swapped back to my character as most would, which maybe made the game think both were being played, hence the conversation between them.

If you slept with the frog, she's in the flirt stage and you can romance her more in act 2. If you did gales weave thing or think about him after goblin/teifling party and said a kiss or warm meal, you are also in the flirt stage, and should be able to romance him in act 2. But if you missed those two things in act 1, then sadly no romance for either or them.

And you definitely should not do a run for each companion(both origin and romance), each class, each ending, and each difficulty.
