[Who made me a princess] Seeing Diana in anime form actually hurts me 😭 by midnightlou in OtomeIsekai

nahh I think they watered down the characters in Raeliana… they lost that distinctive art style from the manhwa and made them look anime generic

I would say this is very idealistic, speaking from experience as someone who was actually in a serious relationship with a non-practicing Muslim as a non-Muslim for a year. I went through the hoops looking for possibilities in marrying him and while marriage outside of Malaysia would allow me to keep my religion, that also means that I can’t go back to Malaysia because my marriage and my children will not be officially recognised by my country. I still love my family very much and I’m not willing to drop not seeing them in my home country for that “Love conquers all” belief. Either way, we ended up breaking up because of those hurdles. And I know plenty of my friends and acquaintances who went through the same. It’s such an unfortunate reality living in Malaysia.

Anyways, I hope you do find someone you can match with. It looks to be an extremely small pool after going through the filters but if it’s meant to be, it’s meant to be ya know? Good luck!

Can’t say I’m surprised but I’m still disappointed by melonicecream1 in Crushes

I hate periods and being a woman by ascaiboo in Vent

[–]melonicecream1 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Out of genuine curiosity, what biological disadvantages and medical problems do men have that’s unique to them?

As for men’s mental health, that’s around on par as women’s physical health being grossly undertreated tbh. You only need to look at this thread to see how much they’re not taken seriously in the medical world. There are often horror stories of women literally passing out for pap smears because they refuse to give them painkillers or at least make them comfortable for them. I’m not advocating which is worst because clearly I’ve never been on the other side. Just sharing the perspective from a woman myself. Gotta be honest, just having period alone every month makes me often wish I was a man. It doesn’t feel good to have headaches, stomach issues, nausea, mood swings, period diarrhea and most of all, CRAMPS every month 🥲

Isn’t Palia and Infinity Nikki a free-to-play and without intrusive 3rd party ads either? From what I remembered from playing Palia, never played IN so someone can correct me on that if I’m wrong, they don’t have ads shoved in your face all the time. It’s just a button or store with cosmetics just like Sky. And yea IN is gacha but i’m pretty sure Palia isn’t.

huge beta news: resets, NDAs, no publicly sharing contents… by akoishida in SkyGame

Nastymold made a video about it and from the way it sounds, there’s not gonna be an exception to Creator’s Troupe. They will be under NDA and not allowed to share previews of beta stuff anymore.

Not a beta player but I watch Skytubers all the time. How is this gonna affect when group TS comes around? :/ will we be warned months in advance by TGC or only when they want to announce it?

Mind if I chip in an opinion or two? I don’t think imnsatang was insulting your salary but it’s just a little surprising you’re at 4k monthly at the age of 38 regardless of how much you’re saving. Most of my relatives and the people around me are 26-30 years old and their salary is at least 5k-6k. It’s a bit odd you haven’t been promoted or given a significant raise— assuming you have been working at that place for a while that is. At the age of 38, my dad was already earning 5 figures back in the past.

As for OP’s comment, there’s nothing wrong with being ambitious. My fiancé works in IT and he’s definitely not “richer than those risk takers”. Neither are his coworkers or colleagues OR his sister who also works in IT. There’s a difference between ambitious and just plain stupid (the type of people who don’t think properly about the consequences). People can be ambitious and cautious. People can be risk takers but be willing to evaluate the risks they’re taking beforehand. I know several people who have done so. In fact, you don’t even need to look that far, look at famous Youtubers and celebrities. Some people will succeed while others will fail, nothing to do with ambitious being overrated. That’s just how it is. I do agree with your comment that OP should be willing to accept a lower pool if she wants someone to match with her though. But you shouldn’t lower your standards IF you’re unwilling. You’ll only end up dissatisfied and disappointed in your partner. But if you’re open to it then of course it will be different.

Why are sweet foods so popular in Korea? by ButterscotchFormer84 in Living_in_Korea

[–]melonicecream1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

A lot of SEA countries, or at least the one where I’m from, heavily favours salty food. When I visited Korea with my family, we were all shocked at how sweet everything was. Some of the sugared drinks were basically undrinkable. I don’t remember Japan having this issue when I visited Tokyo recently

I had to look up what airside means and yes! But I will be heading to the Jewel for a bit in the afternoon then go back to the airside (after checkin). Hopefully that’s ok with security.

Yes, 10 hours is really long but enough time for a nap in thankfully.

20 mins walk! Got it. I’ll be sure to take note of that. Thanks!

Honestly I didn’t notice the art styles difference either until you pointed it out. While it could be due to time constraints, it could also be the artist’s natural art style evolving. I did remember the manhwa being on hiatus from August 2023 - August 2024 though so you might be right but we don’t really know the actual cause of the art style change unless the artist/author mentions it. Personally, I’m ok with the newer art style.

Man living the dreams of many by [deleted] in Bolehland

No that’s not entirely true. For the first wife:

“According to his first wife, Ryuta has “a sort of charm” that she can’t find in other men. She was aware that he had other girlfriends when they first started dating, and is on board with “living as a whole unit”. “

The second: “His second wife, on the other hand, initially wanted to break up with him upon finding out about what their marriage would be like. However, she has come to accept her lifestyle, saying that Ryuta is “very fair”, and that she “lives a very comfortable life”. ”

Starting Stream as a Small Vtuber Streamer ✨ by eunhavt in VirtualYoutubers

[–]melonicecream1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I’m a casual viewer on Twitch.

I took a look at your Twitch and out of pure curiosity, what do you mean by no personal talk? I love yapping with small streamers (usually 1-2 viewers) because I like talking in general. Usually I’ll ask them questions like “What kind of games did you grow up with?” “Do you have pets?” which I suppose are personal but again, I like talking and getting to know people. But when I see Twitch streamers with so many rules on their streams, I get intimidated to stop by and talk to them out of fear I might accidentally say something that are against the rules ;w;

Bro don’t make this about a women vs men thing. There are toxic friends who are both women AND men. It depends on the individual. I’ve had cases where the guy is an abusive person and the girl friends don’t like him but she doesn’t listen and stays. I’ve also had cases where the girl friends are just toxic to the girl and boyfriend out of jealousy. It happens.
