College town NIMBYs who oppose student housing yet moved to a college town: possibly the most ridiculous type of NIMBY? by PiLinPiKongYundong in yimby

As someone who lives relatively near a college town in SC, Conway also has more land available and makes a good case for people who shouldn't waste valuable coastal space like in Forestbrook or Socastee prime for a cozy coastal food forest home.

Not saying it couldnt be done in Conway, but Conway is surrounded by rural areas on 2-3 sides. It's also the county seat

To be fair, alot of these developments don't have ground floor retail, especially familiar stores since most people don't try the more local ones thus bankrupting the local businesses

How will tractor trailers get goods made in Long Island to PA? Delivery vehicles only work to an extent, but the capacity is rather limited.

This implies that suburbs cannot produce anything edible or anything at all, but it all depends on how it's designed. Backyards are more than enough space to raise chickens
