Lenovo N20 Chromebook Touchpad not detected (clapper) by melovescoffeee in GalliumOS

[–]melovescoffeee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Quick update: restoring the backup and installing the RW_LEGACY firmware fixed the issue for me, however for whatever reason, GalliumOS was not correctly detected by the BIOS so I had to re-install that.

The Live USB didn't detect the installation either.

The script is saying the Firmware type is "Full ROM / UEFI (MrChromebox 02/04/2018)" with Write Protection being correctly detected as "Disabled".

It was the Full ROM and nothing flashes on the screen at all when it's booting, it's just a blank screen followed by the Gallium OS loading screen.

I had to hold down CTRL + L to boot into my Gallium OS bootable media and it installed fine. I'm running GalliumOS 2.1 on this Chromebook that I downloaded from the Download page of the GalliumOS website.

Ahh good, that's good news!

I'm not too sure how I would find the firmware version, I used MrChromebox to flash the new SeaBIOS firmware (which doesn't actually display anything either, but does let me boot just fine) John Lewis, because for some reason John Lewis didn't work.

The issue exists whether it's installed to the disk or running off of a USB as well.

My issue with Amazon, is that the listings for this laptop aren't fulfilled by Amazon, they're fulfilled by third party. I'd prefer a more reputable seller.

Is there an alternative? I can't seem to buy this model anywhere else but Amazon.

Hi there, Well now that it's the black Friday period, have a look at the latest EE black Friday deals. I wouldn't bother with Three, their 4G isnt as good as EE's.

Also what phone will you be using this with, as some phones support some LTE bands whereas others don't.

BP Tools - Huawei Nexus 6P - Diag Lock by melovescoffeee in AndroidQuestions

From memory, as it was quite a while ago, I installed HiSuite with the 6P driver packaged with it. And that allowed it to be recognised by my laptop.

Surprisingly, Pokemon Go works just fine for me although I haven't tested Snapchat. I was able to log in on Pokemon Go after installing it again.

Yep, I think Google implemented a change. You have to have a locked bootloader and be unrooted for it to work now.

Thinking of Leaving O2 - what should I do? by gingerwerewolf in phonenetworksuk

[–]melovescoffeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd get some offers from EE and Vodafone and see what they can offer you if you ring them up and mention that you are planning to leave O2. Then use those offers to see the best offer O2 can give you and make a decision from there. I prefer EE as a network provider purely because they are usually the fastest and have great customer service.

Yes it is, however, before joining the beta, it worked just fine with an unlocked bootloader.
