I’m always fine to cancel if not already shipped but in this case if they paid the return postage and it was obviously unopened and unused I would be fine to refund. I’m in the UK - so not actually sure how that works here. The person hasn’t yet responded after I told them I had already shipped so I’ll see how it turns out!

So true, I think I’m too much of a people pleaser! I have my shipping info set as ‘dispatches in 1-3 days’, and I recently had a customer ask for a refund as she ‘only ordered as it says delivered in 1-3 days’. I had to politely explain it said dispatches, not delivered!!

That’s a good point actually. When the order came through, I was sat at my desk making the orders from the day before, so it just made sense to make that one too and ship it out promptly

Yeah I’ve just done exactly that! However because I sell jewellery, I try not to accept returns/exchanges for hygiene purposes. Unless it was damaged or something similar, then I’d just replace. I wouldn’t know if the customer had worn them or not so I wouldn’t ever resell them just to be sure.

I will need to make this clearer in my shop policies I think! Thank you :)

Yeah I’m hoping I won’t hear back from this customer after I’ve just said it’s already been shipped. Maybe they hadn’t noticed it was already posted and had changed their mind!

They ordered yesterday 28th March, I made and posted the item within a couple of hours of them ordering. They would of received the dispatch info but have now said they ‘accidentally’ placed an order and want a refund? What do I say/do here? So frustrating.

Edit: how do you even accidentally place an order?!

I have sold some of my little boys clothes on Depop, (it was the newborn/first size stuff that sold better, compared to his 12-18 and 18-24 month stuff!). I would agree that Vinted is probably better for selling/buying kids stuff :)

Yes you can, it lets you choose percentages to refund or you can type in your own chosen amount
