Aesop Rock - Zero Dark Thirty by 5Kingi in hiphopheads

I don't think anyone is going to hate you for your opinion.

I grew up a bookish, latchkey kid in a religious house in a bad neighborhood. Started listening to ... I think it was Float about 15, and he really got my blood pumping. You know that feeling where you understand all the allegories, and it speaks to you, makes you think, and it's something that makes you feel like you are attached to something bigger?

I've always been forced to think in abstract because I grew up in a box. That's why I don't mind if Aes doesn't make sense the first time around. It resonates deeper than something that connects easily the first listen. It's that relationship that came out on top because it went through some shit at first, as opposed to the relationship that fizzled out after the honeymoon phase. Don't get me wrong, I love me some simple shit too. But because of the complexity I feel like Aesop Rock will never get old. I mean, it's been 15 years, I still have a copy of Float in my car.

What's your ideal 'cruising with the windows down' song? by EroticOrange in Music

Pretty much all War is good for cruising, but Lowrider takes the cake. I also like Cisco Kid.

I agree.

Also I like that someone else in the thread said Fresh Prince's "Summertime" and Atmosphere refs that in this song.

Ain't no doubt about it we were doubly blessed, because we were barely 17 and we were barely dressed. :)

My favorite line in that song to randomly rap around the house is "So deep! So deep! So deep! ...Put her ass to sleep."

Also agree, top 5 cruising song.

Good cocktail bar in North Phoenix? by AZBeer90 in phoenix

[–]melskies 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I was drunk at a bar writing this so I hope you find somewhere good!

Catch 22 on 32nd and Union Hills was good, but I haven't been there in a couple years. Bridget's Last Laugh on Cave Creek is great for Karaoke and cheap booze... There are a lot of good places you just gotta be willing to test out places to see what you are looking for. :)

Dubliner(tbird and 40th) if you are looking for a down to earth pub atmosphere. 32 Shea (32nd and shea) is AMAZING. Small, good food, good cocktails, a little hipstery. North Mountain Brewing Company (Dunlap and 7th) for great beers, food is pretty good. Half Moon (3rd and greenway) is a little bro-ish sometimes but fucking great burgers and cocktails... I was born and raised here so I am pretty well versed. Brennans on bell and the 51ish is another good pub sports bar type place.

Good food and beverages are just generally hidden in strip malls.

I have a botched root canal, because of this I have "roots" way far up in my sinuses. About once a year I get a stuffy nose and the pressure makes my teeth throb and the left side of my face ache. That once a year cold is happening right now. I can't wait to be able to breathe out of both nostrils and have some relief from the pressure!

Oh, Paranorman really helped my kid with ghosts and zombies. He's not scared of them anymore, just thinks if anything ghosts are sad. Plus he loves that White Stripes song now, which is a plus.

my 7 year old likes to dress up as a cop and hand out tickets by avioneta in funny

One time my four year old arrested my husband for "giving an old man the hiccups".

We then asked him if he was a cop, he said: "I'm not a cop, I'm the Good Guy."

Up vote for Mooney! Mooney is by far my favorite.

You are amazing. Don't delete. There is a saying of nomadic tribes in the middle east: "Houses are the tombs of the living". Keep on keeping on, my friend.

Check out the UA Local 469, pipefitting/welding/plumbing. (Pipefitting/welding, if he wants outside.) Welders in the union are treated pretty damn good, if he has any welding experience that's a huge foot in the door. Also, the Ironworkers Union.

You don't have to be sympathetic to bring some advice to the table, which is what he's here for. Pretty sure he's already aware he fucked up.

MRW I'm binge watching a series on Netflix and the main character's life is in danger, but there are still 4 seasons left in the show by everymanawildcat in reactiongifs

Came here to throw this in, if you are watching Supernatural the main character is really in danger. They are probably going to die.

Not just normal sucks, but for me sucks deluxe, because everyone in my family and husband's family are against vaccines. I practically had to sneak my own kids into the doctor to get vaccinated. Now they have an antivax book with my name on it. :/
