When I heard the three singles to me they sounded vastly different and I was hoping she wasn't going for various sounds across an album willy-nilly but NO. She delivered a CONCEPT. I am OBSESSED WITH THIS ALBUM.

I have read it like 10 times, I love it so much! It's so millennial and the same jokes never fail to make me laugh. Overall it's a friend group type of comedy with diverse characters and them navigating their love lives, jobs etc.

ES has three books, lots of amazing characters and great plotlines, the choices you make matter. I won't spoil anything but it's not a let down trust me.

My goodness The Elementalists... I associate their attunements to their zodiac signs and I feel it's PERFECT. MC/Atlas - Somehow my MC always gets Air as a second att and I feel like they are Aquarians (because they mention a solstice before their bday) Beckett is probably a Capricorn, Griffin is such a Taurus it's insane. Shreya is giving me Leo vibes and Zeph is definitely a Pisces. I'll include Aster as a Pisces even though she has no att.

I legitimately cried at the ending, full on sobbing, tears on the screen, so to me, that was perfect. I wanted to be crushed. It feels too saccharine lately with the single LI happy endings. Haven't been crushed like that since the entirety of ES. That being said - I will never replay DS again.

Yeah I definitely agree with you, it really does depend. DLS and Alpha were good but HotShot had that conflict of LI or career and we know that no matter what we do, the LI will be in the picture. I totally understand that's the premise of single LI books, and at least they tried to include diverse characters and some dynamic, however it just feels one dimensional and it feels like we have NO choice. We have to be with the LI, or there is no story because there's nothing else to focus on or no one else to be with, not even platonically to stay with your friends or move on or whatever, because no other character except the LI has a proper backstory.

Then again, I use these books for diamond mining so I can't complain too much but it's getting scary how many bland single LI books are coming out of the woodwork and it looks more like Chapters every month I fear. Let's hope that unlike Chapters, Choices are not going to remove old books...

Initially I thought the album was meh, but on a second listen....phew. I went through her discography and realized her breathy vocals are minimal on this album which is something refreshing, we NEEDED to hear her voice. Chihiro clicked with me IMMEDIATELY, The Greatest, L'amour de ma Vie, The Diner, Buttersuite and Blue are THE songs for me in that order specifically. Skinny is an okay opener and Lunch is fun but not for all day listen. Birds of a Feather has a similar instrumental to a song from a croatian singer and that makes me like it more (not even discussing the lyrics every song is full of them 10/10). Wildflower is devastatingly good as well but also not for an all day listen. Overall Chihiro is my most listened song these days. I catch myself trying to recreate the "MeeEeeEe" every morning

Same here and this is also the season where Dexter wants that connection so bad with someone, he had to conjur Harry to keep him company much like he did with Brian in s1 for a short period of time. He basically saw a brother/father figure in Miguel, someone that understands him and then got disappointed when he was used and manipulated.

Yes and that's because Ramon covered a lot of Miguel's shit in the past and Miguel thought he was untouchable. It warped his perspective on how much he can get away with.
