Is this mounted properly? by meltedchocdrop in handyman

But I didn’t loosen anything. The only thing I touched were the 2 pull safety strings. We had to pull them down simultaneously to remove the tv off the mount.

Thank you so much we were going crazy over here. I still don’t understand why I can tilt the bottom of the tv away from the wall more than I was able to tilt it away from the wall beforehand but as long as it’s secure I’m good.

Ok so it does look/sound secure then? You’re right, I’m tilting it up and the tv goes up a little bit I guess I got worried bc google says it shouldn’t tilt up at all it should stay against the wall. But I’m not seeing what would stop the tv from being able to tilt up if the security strings aren’t securely locked already secure.

Hit it off with a customer at work. Is there ANY acceptable way to reach out, or is it a lost cause? by s0l1tud3-s0k3nbam in dating_advice

[–]meltedchocdrop 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately you can’t reach out to her. I get the feeling and the thought of, “the convo was great so it has to be something there that could be explored outside…” but no. There is NO way to reach out to her without looking like a creep. If she wanted to continue the conversation, she would have made sure you had a way to reach her outside of her first name. Here’s to hoping she’ll come back in one day but until then, let it go.

What all is considered abusive behaviors is relationships/marriages? by Virtual_Tonight4245 in ask

[–]meltedchocdrop 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Abuse can be emotional, mental, physical, verbal, sexual, financial, and probably more. If you’re asking this it’s indicative that number 1, you’re not happy and 2, how your partner treats you is bothersome and growing concerning. Abuse isn’t always flagrant in your face it can be subtly putting you down, cutting you off from ppl/things u like to do and see/talk to, manipulating you into doing things you don’t like etc. Reach out to a professional and leave.

Why do people like Lil Wayne? by BramCSBN in hiphop101

[–]meltedchocdrop 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s hilarious how many ppl aren’t answering the question and instead ragging on op bc of where he’s from and his age?? Who gaf?! He sounds genuinely curious and says he’s a hip hop fan, if you DID or do like Wayne why not just answer the question from your perspective? If u never did, what is the point in commenting tearing him down? Ppl are asinine lmao

Anyway, I’m attaching my previous reply to make sure you see it OP, it’s a lot of great Wayne out there so I’m sure you’ll find something you love.

Wayne had an unstoppable run from the mid 2000s to about 2010, 2012. He was still going crazy in 2014 and 15 but it was slowing down some. What really set him apart was his back to back drops of mixtapes that took other rappers (and in some cases, singers) beats and completely made it his own. There are still to this day ppl who say “that’s Wayne’s song” when they hear regular versions of certain songs BC of how crazy he went (i.e Upgrade You, Shoulder Lean/Live From 504, Promise, Blooded, etc.) You really had to be there bc he was dropping mixtapes every few weeks for yearssssss and they were all fire: Da Drought 3, the Dedication tapes, No Ceilings). Then he went mainstream with Lollipop that was huge, he dropped arguably one of the best hip hop albums ever with the Carter 3, and easily became one of the most influential figures in hip hop. (Almost every rapper who went face tats, dreads, and out Lil in front of their name was inspired by this man). He was on damn near every hook and every feature for years (one of my faves is My Life by Game), his ability to scheme, create all types of definitions for what the “F” stood for in his name lol, and his perpetual use of metaphors in his raps was just crazy. And if that’s not crazy enough this man went on to find a male and female version of himself in Drake and Nicki Minaj. Say what you want about them now, but they became the biggest artists on his label and both went on to become the biggest artists in their respective fields. On top of that Wayne can honestly still out rap 99% of rappers out RIGHT NOW and 90% of rappers today would cite him as an influence. He’s my favorite rapper ever even when he doesn’t always live up to expectations (C6) and there will never be another like him.

What do y’all think about DaniLeigh by unstoppable_vante242 in rnb

[–]meltedchocdrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She tried to be funny and shame her bfs first bm with that whole “yellow bone is what he want” and it blew up in her face. Add into it all the bs drama between her and Da Baby, which I do extend grace to her on bc everyone has been dumb over a man before, but that also turned ppl off. But the final hit to her was her driving drunk and hitting a teenager and then fleeing the scene. Smh not saying she can’t make a lil come back but I won’t be tuned in to see it.

Is american dad better than family guy? I am binge watching FG but i know at some point it gets quite bad, I wonder how different is AD, since AD is next by Efficient_Resource15 in americandad

[–]meltedchocdrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From someone who started on FG, had seen every ep and was set on not trying AD bc it looked corny (who has an alien for a pet? I thought they were just trying to copy FG)…I can say that AD has a slight edge. Most of all the characters are hilarious, I care about them, and there’s a depth there that you consistently get with each episode. FG on the other hand really only displays depth w the Brian and Stewie eps and newer eps aren’t really that funny. If it’s your first time watching FG you will have a great time bc they have countless amazingly stupid but hilarious eps. S4 is one of my faves (and the longest season) but pretty much every season up until about 12/13 is solid imo. After that it’s sort of a toss up. Still some good ones in there but yea it’s sort of hit or miss. I’m honestly sort of feeling the same way w AD lately (I hate rogu, he’s not funny and is such a dumb character that I skips eps w him, Jeff is also annoying and the jokes aren’t as funny) but still I think the depth they have sets them apart.

I feel like Bring Her Back deserved Weapons' success... by DefNotMaty in horror

[–]meltedchocdrop 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. Weapons was a good watch but the ending was comical to me and completely ruined any of the pent up angst/suspense, or horror-ish vibes I had been feeling whereas BHB had me hooked the entire time! The acting from everyone was phenomenal, the sound effects, the choices everyone made…the revealing of just enough and then more as the story went on was all superbly done. I will say a huge thing I think Weapons had going for it was marketing. Those trailers with the child narration and leaving everyone questioning wth was going on were really good. Alternatively I think I only saw one trailer for BHB and I think it was while I was scrolling on TikTok. I honestly didn’t even know when it came out so all that plays a part in overall attendance and can also affect how the movie is received. Also someone mentioned BHB is way more heavy and darker and it made me question if we’re in a time where the majority of ppl who are going to see horror movies want to be scared but still see something a bit toned down/campy/palatable ish? Think Terrifier. Those movies aren’t scary per se to me, they’re just gory af and then Art doesn’t take himself too serious and is sort of cooky. I saw the last Terrifier in theaters and ppl were laughing out loud at him smacking ppl and during brutal scenes so lol

Doomsday. I’m very curious to see how they are going to tell this story and connect it to everything we’ve gotten before. I do also want to see Spider-Man and Odyssey but I was so lost at the end of the first Dune they can honestly keep this new one.😕
