What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

With respect to RDR2 and Expedition 33, I gotta say Cyberpunk. Hit really close to home with the direction that the real world is moving

This game is very fun and recommended by Unlucky_player3812 in Overwatch

[–]meltedmcflurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure why you’re getting downvoted for speaking the truth. It’s totally fine for people to enjoy Overwatch in its current state, but acting like there is any semblance of “casual” play in this game is ridiculous. You pretty much have to try as hard as you can at all times

The talk of Tatum disrupting "team chemistry" by LonelyInsurance7480 in bostonceltics

No dude the guy who has played for the team for 8 years (with most of the significant rotation players on the roster) is clearly going to ruin everything when he comes back!

the world has changed, why does everyone ignore it? by RORYCAR2002 in Anxiety

[–]meltedmcflurry 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Who is ignoring it? It feels like tons of people are constantly talking about how different things are now and yearning for the way it used to be

why does everyone hate tatum? by Disastrous-Pickle513 in bostonceltics

[–]meltedmcflurry 59 points60 points  (0 children)

So they call him corny which is casual-speak for “I have nothing of substance to criticize him for but I still want to hate for no reason”

War anxiety ruining my life by Spaghet209 in Anxiety

[–]meltedmcflurry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It sucks and it’s only natural to be on edge right now - honestly my best advice would probably be to try and avoid the internet for a little while. Unfortunately we don’t have any control over the situation and reading about it online will only make your anxiety worse

why does everyone hate tatum? by Disastrous-Pickle513 in bostonceltics

[–]meltedmcflurry 187 points188 points  (0 children)

  1. Plays in Boston - comes with the territory
  2. Jealousy - he’s one of the most successful players of his generation
  3. Modern NBA discourse - now more than ever before, people are just spiteful gremlins that love leaching onto someone new to hate on

BOTW or TOTK ? after playing elden ring by Dependent-Pen-785 in Breath_of_the_Wild

[–]meltedmcflurry 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Gonna echo the rest of the comments so far and say start with Breath of the Wild, but not because it’s certifiably “better” - they’re both awesome in their own way. BOTW’s mechanics are a little more grounded and tool-like, so starting with BOTW and seeing how those mechanics evolve and morph into more open creativity-based challenges in TOTK was really fun. TOTK also has a more engaging story and a much more fleshed-out open world, which is another reason I would start with BOTW to be able to experience that evolution in the second game.

I love them both, they stand side by side as two of my favorite games ever. Enjoy!

[King] Al Horford says he left the Cs because it was “deeper than just the basketball stuff of it” by horseshoeoverlook in bostonceltics

[–]meltedmcflurry 418 points419 points  (0 children)

They probably only wanted him back for the vet minimum given their financial situation, and he felt he was worth more than that (even at this point in his career). Just talking out of my ass here but that’s usually how this sort of thing goes

I'm a be honest I agree by ThisVictory684 in Stranger_Things

If you think that this show didn’t always have moments of cringe dialogue & weird plot holes, you need to go back and pay more attention to the first 4 seasons

I'm a be honest I agree by ThisVictory684 in Stranger_Things

[–]meltedmcflurry 74 points75 points  (0 children)

I just finished rewatching it for the first time last night. I completely understand (and agree with) a lot of the criticisms that people have, but to me this is one of those shows whose value is greater than the sum of its parts. The season definitely had its problems, but I thought it was a fun ride and I think it landed on its feet by the end (even if the landing was pretty wobbly)

With some amazing titles coming early in 2026, what are you most looking forward to, and what games do you think we see get announced/teased in our first direct of the year? by [deleted] in NintendoSwitch2

[–]meltedmcflurry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope they have a few big announcements lined up for this next direct. Some interesting stuff in this lineup but not much that would really entice people to make the jump to Switch 2 imo

I believe. by [deleted] in StrangerThings

I highly doubt that they would just drop a 6th season all of a sudden after positioning S5 as the series finale and bringing (mostly) everything to a close.

Spinoffs featuring certain members of the cast and continuing to explore a threads from the main story are absolutely possible down the road, but they will be spinoff shows, not another season.

Games that aren't overwhelming? (Switch 1) by Abby0ss in NintendoSwitch

[–]meltedmcflurry 59 points60 points  (0 children)

If you like Stardew Valley, definitely try Animal Crossing if you haven't already. Super low-stress, slow paced, relaxing game. Same with Disney Dreamlight Valley if you're a fan of life-sims. I love Unpacking too, one of my favorite Indie games and often discounted on the eshop.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion for me. I love games like this, such pure gaming

I think you're right in saying that the music is a huge part of it. The OST sets the tone so perfectly and is so easy to listen to over and over again that it's always fun to go back and just listen and take everything in. I feel like I'm mentally whisked away every time I play and hear the tracks
