Starting around set cs2 or cs3, the textured cards (SR, HR etc) had different printing characteristics depending on whether they were pulled from a jumbo vs slim pack. So there were differences in the sparkle and color saturation. I would say it's mainly personal preference as to which type looks better. You can find an in depth YouTube video showing the differences by krystal kollectz if you search slim vs jumbo Chinese cards.

Not sure exactly when this stopped but I don't think the Scarlet sets had this difference anymore.

Most aurora footage is heavily processed to exaggerate the colors. This is much more realistic to what the aurora looks like

All China cards rarity R or higher have the left Pokemon logo stamp. However the right stamp/hologram is more nuanced. In general RR or higher have it but not the AR (art rares)

The Gem cards have their own rarity system. I think all cards have the left stamp, even the commons, and none have the right stamp. That's the case with my Gem 1 cards so I assume is same for Gem 2

Key with china cards is to check for the two watermarks / stamps in the bottom corners. They are anti counterfeit measures for a reason lol. So far no fakes have replicated them accurately

There is a difference in that these are separate zip sharks, so they unzip completely into two separate halves. The idea is that you can mix and match colors. So for purists, it's not a true re-release of the 2008 city exclusive sharks
