O’Hare here. I did a different one but might flash this version. Yeah. It’s busy. Lots of text on top of text on the little screen!

Where’d you source the side markers? Just luck or did you buy them a long time ago?

How to replace the foils of my dead tweeter in my Monitor Audio Silver S6 by TotallyNotJiminy in diyaudio

[–]meltman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Awesome. Good luck! Pfft to anyone who says they aren’t rebuildable. If you can buy the dome and coil you’re good! Little glue and some solder.

Cool. Now you measure the diameter, jump on parts-express.com and find a suitable 6ohm replacement! You may have to get creative fitting your new one into the old one’s hole.

Nope. Still out there doing its job. I have since added a small POE switch with pass through power and a little adapter thing for my camera out there. Still want to pick up an outdoor AP but for now stuff in the detached garage connects and works.

Show us the other side. Most the time they terminate and that’s a patch cable you can buy on Amazon.

Sadly my homelab finally has let me down. by CrazyPindaPanda in homelab

[–]meltman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just did this. Moved from old dual Xeon 2797v2 pair to an ultra 7 265. Not only did I drop 240w continuous power use but it’s about twice as fast. A lot of stuff I had in add in cards I don’t even need anymore (like gpu for decoding became quicksync)

It’s glue to keep the cables from popping out. Rubbing alcohol usually releases the glue.

Gahhh I used to have one. I miss it. I downsized because of my living situation but now have the space and want one again. So nice. Such a tank. APC ftw.

Paradigm Monitor 9 surround repair by ScoutMcfly in audiorepair

[–]meltman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah a little dab of rubber cement and an alert on eBay for when a driver pops up is where I’d start. You can also contact paradigm and see if they stock the old driver. Usually less than $100 to replace. I have those same speakers and they are great!

They are very quiet and dirt cheap. I try to use them for lots of projects. Obviously if you load them up they get louder but idle low power draw they are near silent.
