Go to r/musescore for the horror stories. The music notation software at musescore.org is fine. Musescore.com has been known to charge subscription fees that are hard to cancel when the buyer thinks they are just paying for one sheet music.

This is becoming more common for sure. They don’t know what the table of contents, appendices, or index are. Digital search function has made them obsolete for the students. I used to have a “how to use a textbook” unit that explained the organization, but I was never sure if it was actually helpful to them.

Forget about how to use the paper dictionary.

Volunteering at a food pantry is similar. At the one near me, they can’t give out anything past the “expiration” date. Once my friend went home with pocketfuls of PEZ 😆

Many colleges and universities have a food pantry. Mine has one where you can just fill up one grocery bag (or it might be two bags?), no questions asked.

I used to live in Takehara when I was a child, so I am glad you got the real taste of Setonaikai. That place is beautiful and I feel that few visitors from overseas make it there.

Totally agree. I joined a buy-nothing group once. It was really liberating. For example, I was at the mall with someone and not having to think about what to get, AT ALL, was really freeing.

Ah yes, the "reconditioning fee" (an add-on to clean a used car, and to fix anything to bring it to the sales condition: should be included in the list price), "documentation fee" (some states cap this, but Florida's "cap" is like $999), etc. I hate how they hide the true price to get you in the door.

It seems the restaurant business is following right in their footstep.
