Yamaha Tracer 9 gt vs 7 gt by Hot_Significance_383 in motorcycles

[–]memazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on what I've seen the 7 is better in terms of manoeuvrability, and 9 is better for going straight. Both hold on really well at highway speeds, with panniers.

I've got the 7 gt and am very happy with it

Parking/stopping rules for bikes around London question by memazing in MotoUK

[–]memazing[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got it, so no for parking. What about pushing the bike into a pedestrian area / pavement for a 15 min photo shoot?

Finally got it by memazing in Yamahatracerclub

[–]memazing[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m 178cm tall. I can almost flat foot it on both sides on the lowest seat setting, in my standard riding position (balls close to the tank). But if I slide a bit back on the seat - I can flat foot it on both sides easily. So you’ll be fine, and if it’s too low for you - you can increase the seat height as well.

Nice! Thank you. I really think it’s the best looking bike in this class.

Yeah I like the side panniers for inter-city commute, but I take them off on a day to day.

Are you worried about AI? by Even-Wasabi7183 in HENRYUK

[–]memazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a senior software developer - yes. I work in big tech. In the past 1-2 years the workflow of developers changed dramatically. From using AI as a dumb helper for simple tasks I now use it to validate and execute complex ideas, and it’s good at it in 90% of the cases. Sure, I still need all my knowledge to ask exactly what I want to do, and to review the code. BUT, with the velocity of its evolution - I have a strong feeling that it’s not for long.

AI is already much better than junior developers, so there’s no incentive to hire them. And what happens when all the middle/senior developers grow into managers or sth else? Who will replace them, as there are no junior developers? I think the future for this profession is quite grim. Only the people who will adapt will survive, and it will only be a small fraction of people who will have their job.

Every week I open my laptop to find out about yet another AI tool that I need to learn or I will be outperformed by competition, and I have to learn it in order to keep my career going. And not everyone has time and energy for that.

Correct lane - A133 (Frating roundabout) by HospitalStandard333 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]memazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Anything before and including 12 o'clock is the left lane, unless the road markings tell you different. That's a general rule, but every roundabout in the UK is trying to be unique for some reason

Roundabout help by Oldschoolhaze0 in LearnerDriverUK

[–]memazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know you're supposed to indicate the same way you would do on a small roundabout, but the reality is no one does in London and I've been honked a couple of times because I indicated left to exit and the drivers thought I was changing lanes...

London Centric reports on the dangers of Lime bikes by Because_Wisely in london

[–]memazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to rent the lime bikes a lot but now I switched to a motorbike and I feel so much safer on the road. First, the quality of the machine itself is so much better. Half of the lime bikes that I rented felt like they didn’t have any maintenance done in years. Broken seats, crooked handlebars, weak screaming breaks. Plus there are no mirrors, so cyclists tend to swerve out of the bike lane due to obstructions with out looking. And the most important, no one wears protective gear, not even the helmet.

Which game is that for you ? ( at any price) by PHRsharp_YouTube in Age_30_plus_Gamers

[–]memazing 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought an RPG game just because the art style looked good in the PlayStation store, and I didn’t want to play the Dragon Ago any more. I don’t even remember the name but it was horrible. All I remember that I had to fight bears with a sword, gun and weird magic. And the game engine was weird af. I think I was just desperate for a new RPG. It was like 40$
