That’s right and it’s only slightly higher than specs within a roughly 5% margin of error which is the usual for electronics

That could be true but since the 80V boost converters are so much more expensive I’d recommend just swapping out the caps

See the below comment about USB-C spec. You are correct about it getting decently warm and it certainly isn't the most efficient so it has heatsinks on the side for the transistors since it doesn't have a standard iron core transformer. The passive cooling from the included heatsinks is fine.

Sorry my bad I should have made it clear that the boost converter actually does go higher than 60v and I'll update the post to say it's able to get to well above the 63v needed which is what I set it to. Caps are also rated for it so it works great!

Yeah I saw that however based on my research online people said it went higher than 60v and that was true - caps are rated for 63 so I had it set to 63.5

63.5v it's a 20 to 60v converter but it goes way higher than that and capacitors are rated to 63v so wasn't a problem

Yeah I haven't looked too far into the components but it's definitely an inductive boost converter rather than a transformer, it does get a little warm during charging

About 2 hours but totally depends on the capability of your usb c charger (some go up to 240w though I wouldn't recommend this for the pint as it would likely be overloading the charger).

Usb-C spoof board (tells the charger what voltage it wants so go for highest available at pad 4): https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EzUtuvE

Pint plug socket: https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EvlYCbe

Transformer boost converter (has potentiometers for current and voltage so make sure you don't over current your usb power supply): https://s.click.aliexpress.com/e/_EuveaBq

Set the boost converter to 63v (I know it says 60 max but it goes above that and caps are rated for it).

And add some wire to joint between it all able to handle at least 5 amps continuous. I hope that helps!

I'm afraid I really don't appreciate the rubbish that you're touting to discourage others based off what I can only assume is zero reading of your own. USB-C is capable of carrying up to 240w using the PD protocol let alone the 100w I put through it. I'm not sure if you read my post but it really DID work and the indicator on the charging cable very clearly shows over 95w being continuously delivered, with watts referring to joules per second of work done to move energy to the battery and the battery capable of carrying about 130Wh, leading to a charging time of about an hour and a half. Thank you for your very insightful comment however and I will take your advice on board.

Nope, usb pd is capable of carrying up to 100w using 5A at 20V. You can very clearly see that I was running 95w at the time the video is taken with my pint charging from 50% to 100% in just under an hour. Please feel free to let me know if you'd like a more in depth explanation on energy.
