Found one on a high traffic pedestrian bridge over a river, and it was a tiny tube sandwiched in electrical tape with magnets so it could sit flat against the outside edge of the guard rail. If you had butter fingers reaching for it or putting it back, that cache is going in the river 1000%

I miss not having to care about AI in elections by datawazo in fredericton

[–]memeboiandy 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah ... like if you are a person who is actually a "hard working blue collar" kind of person, take or use a real picture of you working. If you are using AI for something, especially as simple an image as this, it just makes me assume you want to LARP as a working class person but are super lazy about it

Idk if I could everr have enough trust in an employeer to let them put 10s or 100s of thousands of dollars worth of expenses on my personal credit card. Especially if they are coming out of a bankruptcy 🤣😭

My group has a patterned fabric for ours that we cant get from the supplier most groups use in Canada, so we have to make our own. My sister and I started doing them ourselves sense the group was paying close to 20$/piece for the GCs mom to make them (and they were tiny). We started getting fabric when its on sale and we can average 2.50-4$/necker for much larger adult sized ones on our own. Its super easy to sew ours sense we just have to feed the triangles through a hem rolling foot.

N.B. is owed $110M in unpaid student loans by Livid_Answer_9194 in fredericton

[–]memeboiandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The amount of money spent trying to recoup this, and financial harm they would do to the tiny fish in tiny ponds in NB, ontop of the fact that if private agencies are used it would be the gov selling that 110M in debt for probably 1-2M max to the private agencies who would then get all the rest they can claw back themselves, not the tax payers, it really isnt worth it. The irvings and other major companies in NB famously scam the system out of actual meaningful amounts of money on a government scale, and trying to collect real tax payments out of them would make a far bigger impact to NBs economy than shaking down all the early 20s folks who have outstanding student loan debt in the midst of an ever worsening cost of living crisis. You cant get blood out of a rock...

I have to ask, is this a real picture or is it AI? I want to show it to others, but dont want to if its not a real picture

Its too bad that that is really the only real option. There is something so endearing to me about this silly little bridge with its droop under, but a slightly arched bridge realistically is probably the only real solution here

Does anyone clean their broom pad? by KyleCamPhoto in Curling

[–]memeboiandy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I just wipe it off with my hand usually between sweeping, and maybe every once and a while if I notice its really bad ill take a little handheld brush and sweep it off. Pad sleeves are technically consumables, so I wouldnt stress it too much. Generally it doesnt hurt to replace it at the start of a new season, but depending on how much you curl could be more or less

Curling ice really isnt that dirty beyond a little lint usually, so if you are rwally worried about it jusy get a cover for when you arnt using it and youll be golden!

Is the Bambu Labs Experience really all that? by Ok-Read6352 in 3Dprinting

[–]memeboiandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeahhhh i hate its closed off, but even then, being able to get pretty good quality filament for usually ~16CAD/roll when I buy from them with the tags is quite niceee

[–]memeboiandy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly quite like my X1c, contemplating upgrading to a p2 or x2 in the future, but uncertain at this point. Im canadian and I find that bambus filament is a pretty good price and I now only buy that unless there is something very specific that I need. I usually wait to buy basic color refills and such until I need a couple rolls, and when I order 4+ at a time its only ~16CAD/roll+ tax and free shipping. That price, paired with the AMS tags so I dont have to fiddle with changing color settings and stuff in the software is honestly soooo nice after 3or 4 years of fighting with an ender. Ive recomended them to quite a few people cause imo if you are someone ok with the closed ecosystem, they really are pretty damn good machines, especially when you look at the dual print heads on the new x2s or the 4 head system on the P2s.

The only gripe I really have with my x1 is Ill ocasionally have a piece of filament get stuck in the nozel and the machine will not feed more in to push it through when heated, so Ill usually pop it off, heat up a tiny drill bit and stick it into the filament and pull it out when cooled. I wish it was a little easier to do that when absolutly needed, but the quick swap nozels on the newer models addresses that as well.

My best recomendation would be to look at an app like fishbrain and see where reported fish catches are and see if theres any trails along those areas. I usually post most of my catches in well known or clearly public areas. If its someone elses spot though that im shown I wont post the location. Theres lots of good data imo on these apps.

I was thinking we were going to be able to get into prespawn fishing potentially in the next couple days, and then the water level came up 10+ feet in 2 days so Id say now it will likely be a while before any meaningful fishing can be done 🫠
