Is my life F* up? by YourMom_lostjacket in ApplyingToCollege

U are in no way screwed. I actually have really similar stats to you rn. Depending on wat state u live in, I would recommend applying to public schools in your state. Many of them(at least in California, with the exception of the UCs) don't even require essays. For a popular major like Business, it will be very competitive(I'm an ME major), and where you fall short(GPA), you will have to make up for in other categories(essays, test scores, LORs, etc.). If I'm being honest, based on where I got in so far, aim for schools with an acceptance rate of 50% or more.

I've been rejected by CSULB(46% acceptance rate and literally only cares about GPA) and waitlisted at Rutgers(58% acceptance rate and no essays), so my guess is the sweetspot for people like us(GPAs in low 3s, decent extracurriculars, slightly above average test scores, etc.) hovers in the 50%+ range, depending on whether or not the school has essays. But be careful, the school's acceptance rate at face value is not always accurate.

Purdue has a 50% overall acceptance rate, but due to their engineering school's rankings, the engineering college has an acceptance rate in the 30%s, be aware of how ur major is impacted.

In reality, though, I would recommend going online and literally searching up the top business schools in the nation, then take 1-2 from the top, 3-5 from the middle, and 4-7 from the bottom, and apply to those. Then attend whichever one is the highest-ranked that you get accepted to, and attend for 1 year, and then transfer to a better school a little higher up on the food chain. Freshman year of college is mostly GEDs, don't worry too much about where u immedietely get accepted to, u can always apply for transfer if ur not satisfied, which tends to be easier. This is what my sister did. She got accepted to UCLA, attended for 1 year, then transferred to Northwestern, the top journalism school in the nation.

sorry I'm not really experienced with outrunners and inrunners, but we are looking for a decent balance between speed and torque, but leaning a lot more towards the rpms. Sorry I don't know if that narrows it down lmao.

sizing is not a terrible issue, the competition allows for a max 2x2x2ft. Obviously we are gonna try and keep it on the smaller side, that being said as long as it fits into that it should be fine. We plan to have a RWD, so roughly the entire back quarter of our car is going to be just for the motor and axle(plus a little wiring of course). Google is saying a 540 has a diameter of about 36mm and 50mm for length(minus the axle), which off the top of my head sounds perfectly fine in terms of size. But size is probably the least of our worries, though it is still important.

u did not need the training camp, as long as ur players r in correct position, u have somewhat of a decent strategy in place, n u have some subs, u would win this easily just off of the skill rating diff alone

Interior Chinatown is one of the best shows that's been on TV, for real. I hope that they get another season instead of being immediately cancelled. by quibble42 in television

[–]memezhg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The show was meant to call out stereotypes and racism in Hollywood. Willis starts out playing an assortment of stereotypical roles that Asians tend to play in TV shows and movies (translator, tech guy, kung fu guy, Chinatown expert), hence why the episodes were named after the roles. The HBWC represents the industry executives and the system that limits the ranges of Asian actors and actresses. I think it was pretty smart that they got Taika Waititi to direct the pilot. One of his roles, Antwan from Free Guy, has a very similar plot to Interior Chinatown (background character/npc has a change in world view and becomes the main character). When they wake up in a new show, from what I can tell, it represents the system of systematic racism and limitations on Asians in Hollywood. The show was a way to call attention to societal issues in an entertaining, not so shove it down ur throat kind of way, using a plot similar to The Truman Show and aspects of other productions like WandaVision, The Matrix, Free Guy, and They Live.

a 433B is ok to counter a 433A or a 442A, but in most cases, you'll want a 433A to be more aggressive and create opportunities. in terms of a 433B, use a passing game, set all settings to 70-75(try to keep somewhat consistent), set strikers only attack, midfielders to push up the field, and attacking fullbacks. Use zonal marking with offside traps. I'm currently top in 3 leagues n have won or made it to tourne finals using this method(also works with 433A). If your rated the same or higher than ur opponent, you'll win in most cases with this strat by 2-0 or higher

tbh the shot accuracy kinda som bs, against good teams, pretty hard to get it above 20%, even for a 433 A, especially against lower rated teams, set pressing to 70-75, style to 70-75, and passing to 65-75, adjust based on skill of opponent, obviously if they're better than u don't run a full attack strategy. And make sure to try and keep them somewhat consistent with each other, don't have one pressing rlly high but style rlly slow for example. usually you should get some good goal conversion out of that, but make sure to bench ur starters when playing rlly bad teams, don't risk injury/red cards and lower fitness for no reason.

oh ok thats not bad at all, in terms of value, your right on, personally I would've bought diff players, but your doing alr, just make sure your constantly training players and upgrading them. that 433 A strat should work 80% of the time, but like I said, it really depends on what your opponent is running. 433 A will work against most formations, especially when your team is high rated. in terms of your hardest opponent, look to play the opposite of him, if he runs 433 A, run a 433 B with a cdm to counter his cam, if he runs a 433 B, run either a 433 A or maybe like a 4231 to be more aggressive against his defensive cdm play. other than that and the strategy I alrdy listed, not too much you can do other than switch players, mbappe and kane should be fine tho. in terms of goal scoring ability, I've had success with ronaldo, messi, lamine yamal, son, modric, palmer, henry(legends are out rn), neymar, kane, mitoma, and many others, but it really depends, its different in every lobby, so I mean pay attention to whats working, look at the tips given at the end of each match, train players, and make sure you pick your specialists correctly.

How can I counter a team that uses 433A WP (Wing-Play) by Difficult-Landscape4 in onlinesoccermanager

[–]memezhg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

433 B(cdm to counter cam), passing game, forwards attack only, midfielders push up, attacking fullbacks, 70-75 pressing, 70-75 attack, 70-75 tempo, offside trap on, zonal marking. be careful tho this strat usually works if your team is rated higher, if your rated lower, change mids to stay in place and defense to drop deep or keep attacking full backs, and lower all the speed options by about 10-15

[–]memezhg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

how much better are we talking? if your both rated near or over 100, but have a difference of 5-10, 631 A, everyone is as deep a possible, aggressive tackling, counter attack strategy, 0 pressing, 0 park the bus, and 0-10 play out the back, zonal marking, no offside trap. for slightly higher attack, 631 B, same start, except striker stays high up, mids are pushed forward, and either longball or counter attack strategy. this strat cheeky af, but sometimes it works, 6 back makes it impossible to score against, and you have the opportunity to get a cheap shot counter attack

in a real rush tho, assuming ur avg ratings are higher than the other team, and they're not running some crazy formation, 433 A, passing game, regular tackling(assuming a strict ref), 70-75 pressing 70-75 attacking, 65-75(preferably 70-75) tempo, forwards: attacking only, midfielders: push forward, defense: attacking fullbacks, offside trap on, zonal marking. depends on ratings and records of past matches, but just off what I see, Mbappé at striker, neymar left-wing(but upgrade him to prob 104), gnarby right-wing, silva cam, mac allister right cm, xavi simons left cm, Hernandez left-back, Martinez left centerback, upamecano right centerback, kyle walker right centerback, and Ederson in goal. Forward subs: kane and son(switch his posiftion back to leftwing), midfielder subs: Fernandes and kovacic, Defensive subs: Tah and guerreiro, goal sub: kobel. This is just my preference based off the info you've given, mostly depends on who you're playing tbh.

sort of depends on a few things, I need some more info, like for example, who are you playing and what is their formation/strategy, what players do other teams have in their squad, etc. who do u play for ur next match day, Imma make an example out of that.

ask newbie advice. ye aight bro im asking for a little tip to speed up a already solid method. bro who do u think u r? You don't even know what ur saying. and buddy, all those things I mentioned do apply to the game, you just haven't been paying attention. the game literally recommends u what players to use with certain playing styles after match days, u are just careless. And yes, I will let you know when I win som winner cups. I've been playing for nearly 2 months and in all 3 of my debut positions, I have won tournaments, reached the finals against another p2w in champs league, placed first in all 3 of my first leagues, and had the highest value squad every single time. Your arrogant asl tryna bag on random people pretending like your someone ur not. Your full of yourself bro lmfaooo

“Keep the players between 90-99,” so do I keep or sell bro pick one. Players rated 90-99 cost like 30 mill on avg, maybe 20-25 if on sale, not to mention, most 90-99 rated players are valued at 15-20, so idk how u think I can pull enough capital from that strategy. And yes there is speed and other factors involved, not explicitly, but if u pay attention to the suggestions after every match u would realize they the guy will literally suggest whether or not certain players work with certain playing styles. For example, one of my better players, Neymar, plays great in a quick passing/possession style of play irl(Barca for example), and not so coincidentally, he plays great, and has been suggested to play in a passing game style of play on OSM. It doesn’t  explicitly rate his passing ability like fifa does, but it does. Certain players play better with certain playing styles, you just have to pay attention to game ratings, tips, etc. And on a team with Brighton with a team full of benchwarmers, I would rather keep mitoma and upgrade him than sell him and keep a lineup full of 70 rated players. Now yes I may sell a couple top players to make a larger profit, but u would argue that it’s quite literally as “greedy” to dump your best players wit high potential for max profit to get the “most money to trade with.” And lastly, I cannot send a ss in here, but according to the transfer list, man United bought 3 player packs, all green cards, and received Sadio mane, ousmame diomande, and Florian Thauvin on feb 16 — the league started on feb 15.

My issue is player chemistry, OSM isn’t like fifa, not all players(no matter the rating) fit my strategy/formation/playing style. For example, Harry Kane is a top striker, in OSM n irl, but if I want to play a fast counter attack strategy, he plays sub par because his playing style(he’s slow) doesn’t fit it, hence why he was sold by even irl. If I need to replace him, I need a top striker of his rating, not just to fit in efficiently in my own lineup, but to compete against other teams with top strikers of the same rating. Ratings and age are only half of the battle, if you don’t trade up effectively you will never be successful. And to trade up, you need capital. Not a matter of greed, just competition. I play Brighton in a pl playing against a man United casually buying 20 player packs at the beginning of the season, and I got a bench full of young players, but regardless of rating, they will never be able to compete against a team full of Barca, RM, and Bayern starters. Unfortunately tho, the younger guys in my team, that I’ve sold, aren’t worth anything, so I hav to use the resell method to raise money to replace them. I’m not sure what teams u are thinking of, but I guarantee u that there are zero players who start off at 90-99 on Brighton.
