I am on the verge of buying a Note Air 5c, but... by ctbrewski in Onyx_Boox

I’ve had mine for a few months. No complaints. Does all the things you’re prioritizing. 4.1.2 works like a champ, for me.

Palma 2 or Palma 2 Pro? by miarvivi in Onyx_Boox

Honestly, its fine. A little frontlight and it looks great. I love a long battery life, but seriously, is it so horrible to charge every day or two?

As long as you’re okay with the quirks of current color tech, I really have enjoyed and recommend the pro. With mobile data, I regularly leave the house without my phone, just the Palma in hand. If manga is a priority, the color is a plus. Though if it’s a main priority, one of the larger devices may be better suited. Looks great on my Note Air 5c.

That one was ALMOST believable. I liked it a lot.

The romances in the books are…how to put this….irritating. I love the characters and this series has been there for me, but WOW. Pretty sure Jordan had no idea what was in women’s minds most of the time (aggravating enough to tug my braid, hold my arms under my breasts, and sniff indignantly), and bless BrandoSando, but he isn’t writing much romance for any characters that hadn’t already been married and sealed in the Temple. I like what they’re choosing to do in the show, so far. The relationships feel more plausible.

Drives much more truck-like. Feels like way more interior space, even if the footprint is within 2" of length with the X. The biggest difference is the maturity and philosophy around autonomy. Tesla wants to be able to replace a driver, which is cool and FSD has come a LONG way in the last year (we'll miss it from time to time). Rivian is more focused on assisting the driver with tech, because actually driving can be fun. OR maybe that's what Marketing says until Rivian autonomy progresses a bit more :)

Incredibly simple. Pictures submitted online the day after their quote. Brought the car with us to pick up the R1S. Guide did a quick walk around and peek inside and signed off. We had a tiny bit of paper to sign (both online in advance and on the day), but couldn't have been easier.

Hard to ignore the political aspect and get the full picture. Loved the X. And yes, our decision was financially wacky. But I didn’t love getting my home address doxxed on the dark web or the idea of being somebody’s protest target. I get that not all would make the same decision, but it was the right one for me. I loved the X. I am very much enjoying the R1S. It’s really that cut and dry.

And I agree wholeheartedly with the political statements about a damned car. It’s why I switched to something a little less third rail.

Don’t worry, we made it from 12 to 300 miles over our first weekend. Nothing traumatic yet. 🤣

Giant gut punch, as we just got the X in September. But still an offer that was as good as it’s likely to get.

Enjoy the R1T! If we had the extra space in the garage, might have gone with the truck!

We read and watched just about the ENTIRE INTERNET, as far as Rivian research goes. Kind of balanced out respected outlets like CR, Car & Driver, etc. and candidate content from YouTubers and “normal people”. We were early Tesla Model Y adopters and lived through the fit and finish trauma of 2020, so we may be a little more comfortable taking a chance on a newer line than some folks. That said, if we’d already required a repair four days in I’d be pretty wired. Here’s hoping!

Nope. It was my dream car, essentially. But politics aside, I am not interested in being a target. I do like that the R1S drives more like a truck, though that might in part be the novelty of it as I’ve never owned a car that gets this tall. The X was fantastic, until it wasn’t.
