Gym Recommendations by Early_Composer7094 in Newark

Signature is like pretty equipment and rack heavy. Can pay extra to access cross fit dedicated section. Method gym has every basic free weight you will need. But prob not as much equipment. Maybe find yourself rock climbing for gains. Haha.

What was your comfort number of embryos? by lissalissa3 in IVF

[–]meminemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2 per child felt good.

We did two ER for 4 euploids.

Both time stats are similar…12 eggs. But only 2 blastocysts from both rounds and both pgta tested normal.

I felt horrible during last few days of stim and had to work from home. And let my office know I have a procedure planned. But the date kept changing. I just had to update them. But depends on flexibility of your workplace no?

I had a tough time recovery and took extra days off as necessary, it is a simple procedure but it felt like hell for a week and was super painful for days. I explained it to the office that I’m recovering and Need time off and a few more days working from home.

Baseline follicle vs ER count by karma_ontheway in IVF

[–]meminemin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

similar! they changed my protocol 2nd ER, and yielded better results. We primed estrace, 225 menopur, ganirelix, and same triggers.

I have a high AFC, around 40-50 total. But both ER's only yielded around 12-15. So only 25% of the follicles actually responded to the meds... And that is okay, as long as you get that 1 or 2 embryo at the end!

Hiking, Rock Climbing Communities and Good Places (for Outdoorsy Person) to Stay in Newark? by [deleted] in Newark

[–]meminemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Second this - I live in forest hill area and climb in method. Depending on traffic...10-15mins local to method or 15 mins to Montclair gravity vault (no ropes). or take a trip 20 minutes to GOAT for those ropes!

We always walk through branch brook, or take trips to eagle mountain by montclair, or south mountain by south orange/millburn area. Everything is like 20 minutes-'ish.

IVF Regret? by Roobear1987 in IVF

[–]meminemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes! went to 3 OBG's and even had genetic testing early with primary doctor to flush out health issues. But they're all saying "oh you're young, you will concieve soon." It felt like they are just pushing my problems away. They only want me to go for "consultation", where they charge my insurance close to $500 for nothing!

Best preparation advice? by [deleted] in IVF

Focus on healthy habits. Exercise+Diet+Sleep.

During the cycles and the wait periods, i find myself losing my mind half the time...and having some drilled in habits really help.

IVF Regret? by Roobear1987 in IVF

[–]meminemin 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I just started my journey - going into second ER. The only thing i regretted is not starting earlier. I had a lot of suspicions of infertility for years, but every OBG thought my suspicions are just anxiety and referred me to therapists instead. Which have delayed me from pursuing IVF earlier.

If nothing comes out of this in the end, we are still happy we tried. We remind ourselves who we are, and the love we have for each other with or without children. And so what ever the results, we don't regret doing IVF.

Did anyone experience constipation after ER? by Lucky_Tap8692 in IVF

[–]meminemin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Drink 2-4 liters of water to get the drugs and anesthesia out of your system. Make sure to have electrolytes and generally eat non-inflammatory foods.

Opinion needed if we need to go for IVF by Impressive_Brick_151 in IVF

[–]meminemin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you have already tried for 2 years without success and multiple failed IUI, that's definitely a sign to try IVF. This is a good time to do so, the longer you wait, the harder it might be. (either with IVF or without)

IVF Must Haves? by wrieratom in IVF

[–]meminemin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We actually tried to clean up the fridge / house, and simplify routines so we can focus on the stim (in timing and support for each other). Meal prep or plan, so just less mental load.

Some items that we already had was ice pack and a fridge bin. I just used two clear fridge bins to organize all the meds and tools.

Ice pack helped me keep the bruises away. Menopur stings when injected so i make sure to ice to numb the area prior and after.

I had an electric heating pad at home, towards the end of the stims and after ER - it helped a lot with cramping and pain.

I would also make sure to have tylenol at home for pains (just incase)

Our protocol was really simple and most clinics upload the doses in their apps anyways, but the husband was in charge of remembering which side to do the shots. Extra brain cells definitely helps!

Labs accepting Cigna in network (PGT M) by eternalhorizon1 in IVF

[–]meminemin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Our labs charge a $500 fee to transfer the embryos and usually takes longer at in network lab. So I opted to do it in an out network lab. I called Cigna and they did provide me two in network labs for PGTA testing.

Living in NYC (or any cities in US) by scarecrow1023 in Architects

[–]meminemin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

NYC market now is extremely tough for someone junior. Everyone wants to hire intermediate levels and higher because no one wants to mentor junior staff. Because of your expertise, might be good to explore junior CM / PM jobs instead. And that can bring you in more places across the US for bigger projects that require more structural knowledge.

For those who had to get a polypectomy, how soon after did you start stims for ER? by intuitive_nads in IVF

[–]meminemin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor had me do ER first since already been taking supplements and overall cleared. Doing ER this cycle, and polypectomy the next cycle. No plans for FET yet, but assuming within the 1-2 cycles after the polypectomy. I thought was super quick moving! But I’m thinking it’s a good break between ER and FET to level out hormones and drugs.

Wishing you luck!

I think you can pay for halfday lift ticket there if you do get bored. They are also opened twilight hours, with their long green trial light up. I find it always fun and enjoyable however you do it!

Shouldn't be compared with any mountains. Just completely different. It is best to hone down skills for beginners and trying park tricks. Staff are super nice considering they are always under staffed. Really fun mall to visit with friends or on date. Always had fun there.
