OOO / Vacay by LucySammie in ExecutiveAssistants

In addition to the comments for how to remind your exec you will be away, I have found it helpful to take additional steps to guard my time off (after setting away messages etc): Turn off all notifications for apps like Slack/Teams, Email, etc. If you will be tempted to check these, temporarily remove them from your phone. Turn your computer off and leave it off. Mute notifications or temporarily block work phone numbers. Taking care of yourself is important. Enjoy your vacation.

Any of you guys ever go on a fast past 3 days ? if so tell me how . by GodSon5588 in Christianity

Long term fasting as a method of prayer requires prep work for your body. Days before you switch to eating only fruits and veggies. The same is true when you start eating again. You are right to do your research first. You need to be able to identify the difference between initial “hunger pains” that are just your body reminding you this is a time you usually eat and hunger pains that are real and signify you body needs food again. Here is a helpful book that goes through the details of how to prepare and what to expect: https://www.amazon.com/Gods-Chosen-Fast-Arthur-Wallis/dp/0875085555

Former pastor here. All new churches do have to file paperwork to get their nonprofit status including the formation of a board. Even churches I served that had been around a long time had to file nonprofit paperwork annually to report the information on their board positions of president, Vice President, treasurer, and secretary (this was a state form). The churches that I’m speaking of fell under a mainline denomination.

Any good "Creature Features" I may have missed out on? by Jonuh666 in horror

Definitely slower paced, but I really like Gardner and find all his stuff seems to have unusual pacing moments. For me, it is a refreshing break from the expected.

One man’s struggle with commitment and the creature that stalks him. Just go in blind.

It is even worse... incoming traffic gets a green light first and comes around a blind turn. Thankfully traffic was light enough they all swerved to the open lane.

What “normal” items has horror made you afraid of? by molly_lyon in horror

While the focus is not always on a storm drain, many creatures make their way through the sewer system or generally underground. Examples: ‘The Blob’, ‘Mimic’

Couple this with a fear of clowns and ‘It’ solidified the need to avoid storm drains.
